visited the FSU College of Social Work last week to share some smiles after the horrific incident on campus on 4/17. Sharing space, sharing stories, sharing summer plans, coloring, crafts, playing card games… one of the best “classes” ever. Sending love and peace to all.

As a s*x educator for 8 years, I see firsthand the transformation when comprehensive s*x education is discussed with college students. It is more important than ever that we advocate for continued funding for this awareness and education. I’ll be sharing more resources throughout the month. 🥰

Some of you have met the OG of my therapy dogs, Harper Lee, over the years. She is mostly retired and only really provides therapy to me these days…. But! She turned 14, yes FOURTEEN!!!, last week. So grateful she is still here.

How fortunate I am to have one of my besties come to work with me everyday! She gets to cuddle on people’s laps, helps them with emotional co-regulation during tough therapy sessions, and even serves as a grounding anchor to interrupt dissociation during EMDR work. 👏🏼💜🫶🏻 🐶

Gender affirming care (including non-medical care) saves lives. We can’t keep losing kids to su***de. Don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution. Let a gender non-conforming/ NB/trans kiddo in your life know how much you care about them, today. I tell at least 5 youths and/or adults this every week - the world is better with you in it, even if it seems like many don’t think that. Let’s get through this together, survive, and eventually thrive.
