I know a lot of you have been following my little buddy Lief’s sarcoma journey. Well, yesterday he graduated from IV chemo at Southeast Veterinary Oncology in Orange Park. So far, all his scans indicate that there is NO EVIDENCE of metastasis (the cancer spreading past his spleen). We will continue to monitor, and he will continue daily oral chemo. He’s a little champ. Look how happy he was, prancing out to me in his graduation video 🥳😭😭😭😍🥰 🐕

Thank you Dr Smith and all the oncology nurses and support staff that helped make this the best possible experience.

I hope this makes someone smile today.

We are headed to Jacksonville for round 4 of chemo today, but Lief and Freckles will be ready to see everyone tomorrow 🫶🏼🐶🐶 Happy Friday!

Liefy was not feeling so well today, so I brought him to work with me and . Lief had emergency spleen removal surgery last month and is currently undergoing cancer treatment at the vet oncology office in Orange Park. In the few weeks he’s been coming to work with me, he has loved everyone he has met! He is a spunky fellow and honestly has a lot of love to share.

His diagnosis is unfortunately terminal, but the treatment he is receiving will improve his quality of life and extend his lifespan as best as we can.

May the rest of his journey be one filled with treats and belly rubs, new friends, and so so so much love. Thank you to everyone he has met so far- know that you are making a bigger impact than you could imagine.

If you read about Lief today, please take the time to spread some kindness - a smile, a compliment to a stranger, reaching out to check on a friend. Kindness is really what life is all about.

Lief wants to thank you all for understanding about the cancellations last week due to an emergency. This little guy had emergency surgery and his spleen removed- which ended up being less straightforward than it usually is. (This is when I picked him up from the vet. He’s sporting a cone but I don’t want to shame him with those pictures!)

Reaching out to everyone to reschedule ASAP! Thank you for your grace.

And thank you to including Dr Smith and all his fantastic techs for helping this guy and keeping me informed every step of the way.
