The Teen Emotion Skills Training group is a new offering at the FSU Psychology Clinic! The group is open to pre-teens and teens exhibiting impulsivity, emotional dysregulation, self-injury or su***de related thoughts and behaviors, or difficulties maintaining relationships. Teens learn evidence-based skills that will benefit them for a lifetime. Contact us for more information or to enroll your child.

If you are an adult struggling with trauma symptoms resulting from sexual assault or abuse, we can help. This 12 week group treatment will help you understand your symptoms; reduce distressing memories; decrease depression, anxiety, guilt, and shame; and begin to restore your sense of safety, trust, and self-esteem, enabling you to live life more fully. Start date late fall 2023.

If your child is struggling with behavior problems at home or school, this group is for you. Parents will be taught numerous evidence-based strategies for improving the parent-child relationship, paying attention to appropriate behavior rather than giving attention to noncompliance, and developing a structured and predictable reinforcement program.

FSU Psychology Clinic and FSU Clinical Psychology Diversity Committee students and faculty attended a neighborhood empowerment event at Gibbs Oakridge Village hosted by the Second Harvest of the Big Bend. The purpose of this event was to provide families with food resources and connect them with community services centering health, wellness, and civic engagement. Thanks to our volunteers who are making important connections with our community!
