We appreciate conversations like this from Chalene Johnson.
It’s easy to assume that if someone is successful, disciplined, health-conscious, or has access to every wellness resource out there, they must have it all figured out. But burnout, stress, trauma, and feeling stuck can affect anyone.
That’s part of why conversations around medically supervised ketamine therapy and integrative mental health care matter so much. The more openly people talk about these experiences, the more we reduce stigma and remind others they’re not alone.
Mental health care isn’t weakness, and healing doesn’t look the same for everyone. Sometimes it’s about finally slowing down long enough to address the root instead of continuing to push through.
Check out her thoughtful post below. 🤍
Yesterday I did medically supervised ketamine treatment… not for depression, but to rewire stuck patterns that no longer serve me.
I don’t want to work this much. I don’t need to be this busy. And yet I can’t seem to stop.
Ketamine, in a clinical setting, helps the brain form new connections and break out of loops you’ve been stuck in for years… sometimes decades. It’s not a magic fix. The real work happens in the days after. But I’m ready to find out what’s on the other side of “always on.”
Dr. Andrew Levinson, MD (Vitality Health) is one of the most respected experts in this space. 30+ years in psychiatry, functional medicine, and orthomolecular psychiatry. He blends Western medicine with mindfulness… known for his work with trauma and helping patients break patterns traditional treatment couldn’t touch.
Orthomolecular psychiatrists treat mental health by optimizing the body’s natural chemistry… vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, and hormones.
As an MD, instead of jumping straight to medication, or peptides he looks at what my body is missing or overloaded with and works with me to correct it at the root - oh and he’s pretty funny.
This isn’t a typical post… for me, but I regularly share the not so pretty side of things with my Patreon listeners. Self improvement matters to me.
Also, we need to honor people with genuine gifts and passion for what they do. They’re rare. I promise you AI will never replace what I experienced today.
