In addition to gently stretching and opening the body to deeper and fuller breathing.........we seek to soften and open the spaces where tension hides in us. We are learning to LET GO of habitual ....often unconscious.....emotional tension that hides in our muscles, our gut, our neck and shoulders.....virtually all over our bodies.
Monday 5:30-7 and Thursday 4-5:30 classes are specifically designed for elders, beginners and those with limitations. Everyone is encouraged to modify the postures as needed.......to rest when needed.....and to take everything we do at their own pace.....as each individual is encouraged to maintain vigilant awareness of how the poses feel INSIDE. We also use free weights to support muscle mass, bone density and many additional benefits.
Tuesday Mornings 10-11:15 is an intermediate flow class.
Tuesday Evenings 6-7:15 with Jameisha is for beginner yoga sessions designed to meet you where you are! Gentle flow to build strength, balance and flexibility....release stress and restore energy!
