FSU BehavioralHealth™ at Apalachee Center provides diagnostic assessment and treatment on an outpatient basis for children and adults with mood and anxiety concerns. The clinic is part of the FSU Mood & Anxiety Center of Excellence, and one of 22 members of the National Network of Depression Centers. This gives us access to national expertise and resources to advance care, training and science in the field of mood and anxiety disorders. Our patients will benefit from new advances in this field.
We have an interdisciplinary, team-based approach to provide a wide range of comprehensive mental health services, including assessment and therapy services, medication management, telemedicine and telehealth services (for those who feel more comfortable in their home). We have behavioral health professionals who work closely to best address your needs for struggles like depression and anxiety, among others. We have the expertise to fully manage most mental health concerns, and we work closely with other specialists as needed to coordinate care for other issues.
In addition to providing recommended, best-practice care for children and adults with depression, anxiety and related concerns, we work closely with numerous community partners to ensure that all patients completing a comprehensive, diagnostic assessment are connected with needed treatments and care within our community.
Every licensed clinician who works in our center is also a faculty member at FSU, including the College of Medicine, and the College of Nursing. Graduate-level trainees from Medicine, Nursing, Social Work and Psychology will have the chance to develop best-practice clinical care skills to ensure high-quality training within our community. You may be referred to a master’s level trainee under careful supervision by a licensed provider.
An important part of our state-of-the-art care is our clinical monitoring program. We will collect brief, valid measures from you before each visit, which will be used to assess your symptoms and how the treatment is working.
