Next, we're honoring Dr. Lisa Engel, whose journey from marketing student to accomplished OB/GYN physician shows the power of following your passion.

From earning her marketing degree at the University of Florida to pursuing molecular medicine at USF, Dr. Engel found her calling in women's healthcare. She completed her medical training right here at FSU College of Medicine, where she excelled as both a researcher and scholarship recipient.

After completing her OB/GYN residency at Orlando Health and serving as Academic Chief Resident, Dr. Engel gained valuable experience as a Hospitalist in Houston before returning to Tallahassee in 2021.

Dr. Engel brings expertise and compassion to women's health. When she's not caring for patients, she enjoys time with her husband Dr. Adam Engel, their twin daughters, and their English Springer Spaniel.

Next for Women in Medicine month we have Janan Harbin, PA-C. She's a dedicated healthcare provider who brings both expertise and compassion to women's health.

Born and raised in Birmingham, Janan followed her calling to healthcare through a unique path. She earned her degree from the University of Alabama with a major in Music Therapy and minor in Biology, before completing her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of South Alabama.

As a board-certified PA, Janan has experience in both OB/GYN and Family Practice settings, where she's passionate about addressing women's health concerns. Her approach combines clinical excellence with genuine care for each patient's individual needs.

When she's not caring for patients, Janan enjoys quality time with her husband and their goldendoodle, exploring new places through travel, staying active, and cheering on Alabama football.

Dr. Justine Bedolla is a proud Florida State graduate (twice over!), Dr. Bedolla earned both her exercise science degree and medical degree from FSU before completing her OB/GYN residency in El Paso, TX.

What sets Dr. Bedolla apart? Her commitment to patient education and empowering women to be true partners in their healthcare decisions.

Dr. Bedolla, her husband Adolfo, three young children, and their dog, are excited to be putting down roots in TLH and become part of our community while mentoring the next generation of FSU medical students.

Our next provider for Women in Medicine Month is Kaylee Cofield, PA-C!

Her path led her from FSU's labs to North Florida Women's Care.

She's a proud Tallahassee native and has learned that whether you're examining tiny organisms under a microscope or caring for expecting mamas, it's all about the details that matter most!

From her Biology degree at FAMU to FSU's PA program - every step taught her that women's health isn't just medicine, it's preventive care that changes lives!

From the bedside to the boardroom, Dr. Friall exemplifies leading with compassion and courage.

As Vice President/Chief Medical Officer at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, she oversees credentialing of over 1,500 physicians while championing data-informed care that improves patient outcomes.

For over two decades, she's been caring for women at North Florida Women's Care, where she became a partner and pioneered the transition to electronic medical records. She continues her gynecology practice today while serving as Associate Clinical Professor at FSU College of Medicine.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Friall serves as Treasurer for ACOG District XII, advocates for women's health on Capitol Hill, and sits on The FSU Foundation Board.

When not transforming healthcare, she enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with her husband and daughter.

We're grateful to have Victoria Valdez, APRN, as part of our North Florida Women's Care family.

A Vanderbilt School of Nursing graduate and board-certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Victoria quietly makes a difference every day in our community.

After discovering her calling in women's health while working in psychiatric care, Victoria has dedicated herself to helping women navigate everything from routine gynecologic care to complex health challenges like fatigue, sleep disorders, and age-related concerns.

As a Tallahassee native who's returned home with her own family, Victoria understands the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care.

A Tallahassee native who found her way back home, she brings thoughtful care to every patient interaction.

When she's not in the office, you'll find Dr. Hinson cheering on the Noles with her husband Shane and their three kids, or enjoying the outdoors. She and Shane are also licensed foster parents who have opened their home to children over the years.

We’re all about the love—whether it’s for the tiniest humans or our fur babies at home! As an OBGYN practice, we’re lucky enough to help bring new life into the world every day, but let’s not forget the joy our pups bring us, too!

From wagging tails in the office (btw, this never happens...) to baby snuggles at home, we know that every form of love deserves a celebration.
