Ashley Thomas shares her birth experiences with us - “We chose the Family Center at Capital Regional to have all four of our babies - and we have never regretted this decision. Brayden, age nine, Adelynn, age four, Ainslee, age three and Bennett, age seven months - are all thriving!

From the moment we walked into Capital Regional Medical Center ten years ago, we knew we made the right choice.

We received the best care possible - from having to be seen in the ER, to being wheeled out with each one of my babies. The nursing care team, the physicians, and everyone and everything in between, was an answer to our prayers.

Dr. Hall and Morales were my OB’s for all four of my children. My last delivery was so quick that Dr. Ramsey made it just in time to catch the baby!

One of the things that was consistent with all four of my birth experiences, is that the nurses became my friends. They are all still a part of our life in some way. These women saw me at one of the most vulnerable times of my life and they truly loved me and took care of me as if I were part of their family. One thing I cherish most is that the nurses listened to me and my desires but when things weren’t going as planned, they helped me make decisions which were best for me and our baby.

What was so unique at Capital Regional was how hands-on everyone was. They made me feel like I was the only patient. There were a few harrowing moments with some of the births and they were there for me at all times and so quick to respond to my unique needs.

The physicians, nurses and techs took care of me and my family as if I was their sister or best friend. We can’t put into words how thankful we are for the Family Center at Capital Regional Medical Center.”

As of April 20,2021, we will allow patients to bring one guest to an appointment. A child or an infant will be counted as one guest. Due to the declining rates of COVID-19 infections in our community allowed us to make this change from no guests to one at this time. If infection rates rise again we will re-evaluate this policy. Thank You and we look forward to seeing you at your upcoming appointments.
