For the past decade the Vicki Uselton Memorial Golf Tournament has provided funds for charities of importance to FCCFA Members and the death care community. This year's charity is Angels for Allison, a non-profit founded in memory of 15-year-old Allison Haramis. The charity aids families who suffer the loss of a child by providing financial assistance for funeral services. The golf outing raised $18,000 (a few thousand more was donated after the event) for the charity and to date has raised over $150,000 for deserving non-profits.

Last week FCCFA leaders had the pleasure of meeting with and hearing from Rep. Vanessa Oliver (R-Punta Gorda). The discussion touched on topics of importance to the death care profession, many of which were familiar to the representative, who previously served on the Florida Board of Funeral Cemetery and Consumer Services.
