To our First Glance Community, I want to sincerely apologize for the incident that occurred during an appointment last week.
A personal firearm I was carrying became accessible, creating a potentially unsafe situation for a client and her child. I take full responsibility for this mistake and I am deeply ashamed that I failed to uphold the trust and safety that every family deserves when they walk through the doors of First Glance Ultrasound Studio. The firearm's safety was (and IS ALWAYS) engaged and there was no bullet in the chamber, however, this does not diminish the seriousness of the situation.
The firearm should never have been present in a way that could compromise anyone's sense of security, and I can assure you that it was a complete accident and one that will never happen again. My actions have caused those who've trusted me to question our facility's safety, and I'm truly sorry for that.
Christina has worked so hard to build the communities trust for over 10 years, since opening First Glance. She has always led with high professionalism and care, and I pray that you will continue trusting her with your safety moving forward.
After much discussion, we have decided that it is best that I step back from serving clients at the studio, effective immediately. I will miss you all dearly, but this decision aims to help Christina restore the community confidence and trust and to ensure that every client feels safe while visiting the ultrasound studio.
I am deeply regretful! 😔 Not only did I let myself down, I let you all down.
I hope that by taking this step, it will show you how serious we have taken this matter. I take full accountability for my mistake and I am truly sorry.
With sincere apologies,
Jarrod Hinckley
