FOMA past president, Linda Delo, DO, FACOFP, who serves on the American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau on Federal Health Programs (BFHP), recently met in Washington, D.C. with other BFHP members for an in-person meeting focused on advancing the osteopathic profession's federal advocacy priorities.

Members of the American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau on Federal Health Programs (BFHP) are on Capitol Hill today for an in-person meeting focused on advancing the osteopathic profession’s federal advocacy priorities and addressing key healthcare policy issues impacting osteopathic physicians and their patients.

Pictured below are several BFHP members, including Drs. Linda Delo, DO, Jim Mason, DO, and George Thomas, DO, who help guide the AOA’s federal advocacy strategy, engage on legislative and regulatory issues, and strengthen grassroots involvement across the osteopathic profession.

Applications for the 2026-2027 Training in Policy Studies (TIPS) cohort are now open! The TIPS program is a leadership and policy program for residents wishing to become more active on policy issues impacting patients and the osteopathic medical profession.

Make sure to apply by June 14 at aof.smapply.org/prog/TIPS/

Participants will gain experience in writing policy briefs, white papers, oral testimony and more. Apply by June 14.
