Postpartum care is a necessity, not a privilege!
Life can be complicated and it can be very easy to feel hopeless. I help a variety of people find their way through the darkest parts of their lives and into the light that shines in all of us. It takes a tremendous amount of strength to reach out for help and I will honor that strength. You can expect these results when you work with me. I will help you find your way again.
Are you or someone you love coping with pregnancy, birth and/or infertility trauma? Experiencing perinatal mood and/or anxiety disorders? Grieving pregnancy/infant loss? Have feelings related to birthing plans not being honored and the falsity of perfect "motherhood”?
I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive training through Postpartum Support International, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Maternal Mental Health Now, California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative, Birth & Trauma Support Center, Cherished Moms, 2020 Mom, PESI & Bibo Mia. I am also a Level I Birth Trauma Therapist.
These significant trainings have enabled me to center my practice around whole-person approaches w/ Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, Infertility, Pregnancy Loss & Grief, Obstetric & Birth Trauma, the “Magical Motherhood Myth” that often results in unrealistic & self-loathing expectations of self, & life stressors related to feelings of being trapped in the “roles” of woman, mother & caregiver. Adjusting to the birth of a baby can be challenging. The sooner you contact help, the sooner you will start to feel better.
