Needing a break does not make you less present or less loving as a mother.
It means you are human — with limits, needs, and a body that requires rest. Taking space can actually support your ability to return with more patience and connection.
You are allowed to step away and still be a good mother. 💛

Your brain is designed to scan for potential problems, especially when something matters deeply to you.
In motherhood, this can look like overthinking decisions, second-guessing yourself, or constantly evaluating how you’re doing. While it can feel exhausting, this pattern often comes from a place of care and protection.
The goal isn’t to eliminate it, but to soften how it shows up.

Spring doesn’t feel light for everyone. For some mothers, this season can feel full. Full schedules. Full mental load. And for many mothers, underneath all of that...guilt. Mom guilt can be relentless. If that’s true for you, there is nothing wrong. Because mom guilt is also incredibly common.
Reach out to the at Lola Brognano LCSW, LLC at: 850-888-0136
to learn how guilt shows up and how you can shed the heaviness of mom guilt.

After a particularly heavy therapy session or a
grief group, some people experience an abreaction—a strong emotional release after talking about grief or trauma.
You might notice waves of sadness, exhaustion, irritability, or memories resurfacing.
Be gentle with yourself afterward: hydrate, rest, breathe slowly, ground to the present and reach out for support if you need it 💙
The at Lola Brognano LCSW, LLC is ready to hold your hand through this journey.

Hey there,
If you're feeling emotions, I'm here.
If you're not, I'm here for that too.
That may seem funny, but think about it this way: its either one or the other and in either case, the New Year tends to exacerbate exponentially.
Maternal Mental Health struggles such as Perinatal Depression, Pregnancy or Infant Loss, Birth Trauma, and Infertility are especially vulnerable to feelings of ambivalence. Hopelessness even.
Please choose you this year ❤️
You've got 365 tries.
How and what that means will be different for everyone.
But I can help.
I can help you figure that out and I can help you put yourself and your needs first while remaining present, engaged and intentional in your life and with those around you.
Reach out today to Lola Brognano LCSW if you're ready for your Day 1 and see what might be different at Day 2. Just imagine you at Day 365!....😉

The amazing at Lola Brognano LCSW, LLC () wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and look forward to reconnecting and expanding our services to the Big Bend area and beyond in the New Year!
We will be closed from 12-05 to 01-05. This time away is an important part of our journey together! It helps us reconnect with our own humanity, which makes our clinical presence more compassionate and effective. Rest gives our nervous system a reset, so we can return to our clients grounded instead of depleted. Taking a break as a clinician protects our capacity to hold others’ pain without losing ourselves in it ❤️
BOLO for exciting news to come!!! 🔊
If you or anyone you know needs any support during holiday hours, please reach out to the Maternal Mental Health Hotline at: 833-852-6262.

Life can be complicated and it can be very easy to feel hopeless. I help a variety of people find their way through the darkest parts of their lives and into the light that shines in all of us. It takes a tremendous amount of strength to reach out for help and I will honor that strength. You can expect these results when you work with me. I will help you find your way again.
Are you or someone you love coping with pregnancy, birth and/or infertility trauma? Experiencing perinatal mood and/or anxiety disorders? Grieving pregnancy/infant loss? Have feelings related to birthing plans not being honored and the falsity of perfect "motherhood”?
I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have extensive training through Postpartum Support International, the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, Maternal Mental Health Now, California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative, Birth & Trauma Support Center, Cherished Moms, 2020 Mom, PESI & Bibo Mia. I am also a Level I Birth Trauma Therapist.
These significant trainings have enabled me to center my practice around whole-person approaches w/ Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, Infertility, Pregnancy Loss & Grief, Obstetric & Birth Trauma, the “Magical Motherhood Myth” that often results in unrealistic & self-loathing expectations of self, & life stressors related to feelings of being trapped in the “roles” of woman, mother & caregiver. Adjusting to the birth of a baby can be challenging. The sooner you contact help, the sooner you will start to feel better.
I also have a niche for adolescent females and adult women that struggle with maladaptive perfectionism and people-pleasing behaviors, anxiety with OCD thoughts and behaviors, negative self-perception and loss of self in toxic and cycling relationships.
