HELLO NON-STS CLIENTS: If you have a child with a communication disorder and would like your child to experience the special Halloween event we create for our clients, please reach out. This may be possible.

The event is Friday, October 24th (this coming Friday).

We guarantee space to STS clients who sign up by Tuesday, October 21.

On Wednesday, October 22nd, any open spots will be offered to non-clients on the waiting list. Space is limited, and we cannot guarantee there will be availability, but if there is we want to ensure as many families and children can benefit from the experience as possible.

WHAT IS IT? Our annual event is a combination indoor trick-or-treating neighborhood and outdoor carnival, created and hosted by our team of therapists, to enable children with AAC devices/special communication needs to enjoy a seamless, sensory-rich experience with their families.

There are interactive activities at every trick-or-treating stop inside. Outside is a sing-along-hayride, snow playground, carnival games, outdoor movie theater, and a food truck for folks who want to buy a meal.

HEY STS FAMILY! NEXT FRIDAY, October 24th, IS THE BIG DAY! Don’t forget to stop by the front desk or call to register and reserve your child’s time for the Indoor Trick or Treating Neighborhood. Space is limited and we’re filling up fast.

And WOW! Look at the special concoctions our food truck vendor, Lasalle St Carnival Food, is whipping up for the event!

We’ll post a full menu with prices shortly. But these looked so YUMMY we couldn’t wait to show you!

Lasalle St has an incredible menu and even kids’ specials. We’ll have an outdoor dining area so you can purchase a meal for your family while you enjoy all the amazing activities we have planned for this year.

Our Exceptional Touch summer program came to a close today and we celebrated accordingly by making a yummy recipe of Rice Krispie Treats!

This summer our Exceptional Touch program has worked on topics of recycling, life skills (such as cooking/cleaning) architecture (with hands on building activities), and client centered activities specific to our campers.

STS Exceptional Touch is a program for teenage and adult clients focused on learning and improving life skills through communication and socialization practices.

We had a great summer 🌞

Meet our guest star speech student of the week - Ollie the gecko! Our clients have enjoyed meeting and hanging out with Ollie the past few weeks. He loves visiting the clinic so much that he even got his own desk with speech worksheets 😎

Parents - Did you know animals/pets are great topics to target language skills? Talk with your child about their favorite animals and describe them (colors, sizes, noises, etc.)

Our WINTER Tiny Talkers groups have been taking off the past 6 weeks! Joint storybook reading, sensory activities, crafts, and music have been some of our favorite things to do ❄️

Tiny Talkers have participated in weekly themes including Christmas trees, penguins, gingerbread, Santa, and more!

This parent friendly social group is led by our amazing team of SLPs to help increase the following skills in your toddler:

✨Socialization
✨Turn-taking
✨Interactive play
✨Following directions and routines
✨Sensory skills
