An unforgettable weekend at the Special Olympics Healthy Hearing screenings in Orlando! 🧡✨👂

Our summer Aural Rehabilitation group had the incredible opportunity to support inclusive healthcare at the ESPN Wide World of Sports—providing hearing screenings (otoscopy, OAE’s, tympanometry, and hearing screenings) and connecting with some truly amazing athletes and their loved ones.

This experience reminded us just how vital accessible healthcare is for individuals with disabilities. We’re so grateful to be part of a profession that values advocacy, inclusion, and hands-on learning.

So much fun, so many smiles, and SO much inspiration! 🎧🏅

Did you know that individuals with Parkinson’s have low dopamine levels? Dopamine is the brain’s ‘feel-good’ chemical, essential for movement, motivation, and mood. When levels drop, it can lead to tremors, stiffness, and coordination challenges.

At our SOAR team fights back with high-intensity exercise, vocal work, and a supportive community to help improve strength, mobility and confidence! And at the end of every class we chant the words on our shirts loud and proud...🧠🥊
