🇺🇸 Staff Sergeant Phillip Labarge was recently honored with a heartfelt Valor Ceremony by the Big Bend Hospice Valor Team at Tapestry Senior Living Lakeshore.

Led by Veterans Liaison Derrick Sykes (Ret. Air Force), Henry Lowery (Ret. Marine), and Glenn Sneddon (Air Force Veteran), the ceremony included a Certificate of Appreciation, a Letter of Gratitude from CEO Bill Wertman, an American Flag, and a handmade red, white, and blue afghan. Staff Sgt. Labarge was pinned by his wife, and the ceremony concluded with a respectful salute from fellow veterans.

Big Bend Hospice was honored to take part in the ALL in 2 H.E.L.P Table of Kindness event, hosted by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Conference of the A.M.E. Church.

Together with our community, we remembered those lost to gun violence and stood in solidarity for healing and hope. We shared resources, answered questions, and offered tours of our new Mobile Medical Unit, designed to bring compassionate care directly to those who need it most. 💚

At Big Bend Hospice, we are committed to walking alongside individuals and families through life’s most challenging moments. Our dedicated bereavement team offers support groups and resources to help those coping with loss.
