On September 11, we lost more than lives — we saw things we never expected, felt grief we never imagined, and witnessed immense courage. As a country, we came together in ways we didn’t know we could.

Let us remember how fragile peace can be, how precious our freedoms are and how important it is to focus on protecting what unites us rather than what divides. May we never take our freedoms for granted.
