Weak = strengthen and tight = stretch… not always. 👀
This week on Boyz of BASE, PTs Tom Larson and Kai Blake dive into why simply strengthening weak muscles or stretching tight muscles can actually make things worse over time. When muscles become weak and tight, adding more load without addressing the root issue can increase tightness, irritation, and pain.
So what’s the first step in our process? MASSAGE. 💥
Massage is one of the most important pieces of what we do because it helps calm down tissues, improve movement, and prepare the body to function the way it’s supposed to before loading and strengthening.
