Proactive Wellness Clinic

Proactive Wellness Clinic I am trained and experienced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in mainstream medicine, with additional training in Functional Medicine. Hi!
(2)

I use a lifestyle-focused, root-cause approach to guide you toward true health and sustainable healing. I’m Jessica Veloza, a Family Nurse Practitioner and founder of Proactive Wellness, LLC — a Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinic that is geared towards lifestyle and integrative medicine, and founded on the belief that healthcare should be personal, proactive, and empowering. I help people take control of their health through high quality care, longer visits, and easy access to the provider. My approach blends science, compassion, and real connection — because healing starts when you’re truly heard. With a background in traditional family practice and advanced training from the Functional Nutrition Alliance, I bring together the best of both worlds: evidence-based care and holistic wellness. At Proactive Wellness, I offer:

🌿 Affordable monthly memberships for Direct Primary Care (DPC)
🌿One time urgent or sick visits, physicals or other primary care visits
💉 Medicine assisted weight loss and whole person weight loss guidance
🩺 Telehealth & personalized wellness plans
💬 Patient focused care with direct access to your provider

I’m passionate about helping busy professionals and families feel their best — not just treating symptoms. My mission is to give you the tools, education, and support to live vibrantly and stay well — for life. Let’s take healthcare back to what it should be: personal, thoughtful, and empowering.

There’s a reason so many nurses feel like their body is “off”…

…and it’s not in your head.

Research shows that chronic stress — especially the kind that comes from high-demand, unpredictable environments (like healthcare) — directly impacts your hormones and metabolism.

Over time, repeated stress activation can lead to:

• Higher cortisol levels
• Blood sugar dysregulation
• Increased fat storage (especially abdominal)
• Changes in how your body responds to insulin

This isn’t about willpower.
It’s physiology.

Your body is adapting to survive constant demand, interrupted rhythms, and emotional suppression.

So if you’ve been feeling:
exhausted, wired, inflamed, or just not like yourself…

there’s a deeper reason.

And it deserves more attention than just “try harder” or “eat better.”

We were never taught how much this job impacts the nervous system.

But it does.

Quietly. Gradually. Systemically.
