Lloyd W. Cunnius, Jr., a lifelong outdoorsman who found peace and joy in hunting and fishing, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025. He was 80 years old.

Born in Reading on September 22, 1945, to the late Lloyd W. Cunnius, Sr. and Catherine (Musser) Cunnius, Lloyd built a respected career through his dedication and hard work. He retired from Cargill Meats in Hazleton after serving for more than 28 years at Exide Battery. Beyond his work, Lloyd was happiest in the quiet of nature, sharing his passion for the outdoors with those he loved.

He leaves a legacy of devotion to his family. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Selert) Cunnius, with whom he shared 32 years of marriage. He will also be deeply missed by his daughter, Cindi Cunnius; his brother, Ed Ramich; his sister, Dorothy Heath; and his granddaughter, Charlotte Paluch. He was predeceased by his siblings, Lillian Walberg and Albert Cunnius.

The family will honor Lloyd's memory with private arrangements handled by the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Gary M. Kodlick, 79 years of age of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania died on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Born December 15, 1945 in Coaldale Hospital in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Michael and Anna Sue (Kalny) Kodlick. Gary was also predeceased by: son, Kenneth Kodlick; and sister, Marie Yannetti.

Surviving are daughters: Kelly Bergantinos, Karla Kodlick, Karen Stemple; sister, Cheryl Ann Leiby, wife of Larry; brother, Terrence M. Kodlick; and by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A 1963 graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Gary honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Gary had retired from Stroh's Brewery after 27 years; previously he was a school bus driver, as well as a dump truck and loader operator. Gary was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Gary had played softball as a member of the Church Softball leagues.

Kyle J. Stalter, 39, of Andreas, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Carbon Campus after facing a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, on September 6, 1986, Kyle was the son of Charles and Barbara Corter Stalter. After graduating from Tamaqua High School, he pursued his passion for art and computer design at Lehigh Carbon Community College. His creative abilities were reflected in his love for playing the guitar, a talent that brought joy to his life and those around him. Kyle also cherished the companionship of his beloved cats, Sophia and Clare, who were a constant source of comfort.

He will be dearly missed by his family, including his devoted parents, Charles and Barbara Stalter; his brother, Christopher C. Stalter, and his wife, Susan; his sister, Lori Stalter; and his niece and nephew, Caitlin and Matthew Fegely.

Jeremy S. Lawson, a kind-hearted and mechanically-inclined man, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the age of 57. He was a familiar and beloved face in his hometown of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, where he was known for his generous spirit and his readiness to lend a hand.

Born in Palmerton on October 16, 1967, Jeremy was the son of the late Joseph B. and Nancy (Houser) Lawson. A 1987 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a man of Catholic faith, he dedicated his career to hard work, most recently as a yard jockey for Orfield Cold Storage and previously with Jaindl Farms.
Jeremy's true passions, however, lay in his hands-on hobbies. A gifted mechanic, he found joy in tinkering with small engines and was the family's go-to person for keeping farm equipment running smoothly. Mowing the grass was never a chore for Jeremy; it was a peaceful pastime he truly enjoyed. More than anything, he was a loyal friend and family member, always the first to show up and help whenever anyone called. His selfless nature was the true definition of a loyal friend, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Jeremy is survived by his loving brothers, Joseph Lawson and his wife Marla, and Jeffery Lawson and his wife Gerri, all of Tamaqua. He also leaves behind his sisters, Melissa Lawson of New Ringgold and Margaret "Peg" Miller and her husband Darryl of Andreas. His memory will be cherished by many nieces and nephews: Ashley Kovatch and her partner Jason Ge**er, Lawson Miller and his wife Katie, Elena Corson and her wife Ashley, Amber Lawson and her husband Corey, Ashley Fortin, Emily Lawson, and Megane Streisel and her husband Dakota; he will also be greatly missed by; great nieces and nephews, John Kovatch V, Miller Kovatch, Madison Fortin, Liam Fortin, Logan Fortin, Kyrie Lawson, Kolt Miller, Joey Conahan, Lainey Mae Miller, Jayden Corson, Logan Corson, Jackson Corson, Jaxon Streisel.

June Marie Steeber, 82 of Weatherly, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, with her loving family by her side.

She was the wife of Paul Joseph Steeber, and they were married for 55 years.

Born in Pittston, PA on March 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John William and Marie (Fulmer) Mitchell.

She was a graduate of Pittston High School, class of 1960.

June was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Weatherly where she was involved with fundraisers and events over the years.

She was employed for many years as a key punch operator for Tobyhanna Army Depot before retiring to raise her family.

When able, she enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and celebrating the holidays. She always thought of and put others before herself as testament to her generous nature.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her daughter, Jill Steeber of Weatherly, her sister Georgia Gehlen and companion Tony of Wilkes Barre, PA, her brother John Mitchell and his wife Janet of Shavertown, sister in law Annette Smerkanich of Hazleton, sister in law Marie Brady of Hazleton, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 5-7pm on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 at the funeral home. A prayer will be said by Pastor Ed Unangst at the close of visitation.

Robert Beers Graham, 79, of Weatherly, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton. He was the beloved husband of Janet (Wetzel) Graham, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years of marriage.

Born on June 30, 1946, in Hazleton, PA, he was the son of the late Archie T. and Edith (Beers) Graham.

Robert was a graduate of Weatherly High School and went on to dedicate 43 years of service as a pressman with Bemis Company. Following his retirement, he continued to stay active in the community, working for several years at the Jack Frost Rental Shop and assisting his good friend Jimmy with his towing company.

A proud United States Navy veteran, Robert honorably served his country during the Vietnam war and later was a member of the Weatherly American Legion Post #360.In his spare time,

Robert enjoyed buying and selling items at local flea markets, where he loved meeting new people and sharing stories. He also attended Centenary United Methodist Church in Weatherly with his wife Janet.

In addition to his loving wife, Robert is survived by his two children, Eric Graham of Audubon, PA, and Stacie Graham of Weatherly; his cherished granddaughter, Morgan Graham; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Graham.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday evening, October 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Philip J. Jeffries Funeral Home, 211 First Street, Weatherly, PA 18255. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 17, at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial with full military honors in Union Cemetery, Weatherly.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robert’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the Weatherly American Legion Post #360.
