On May 31st from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Emergency Management Bureau, in collaboration with several public safety-focused city departments from around the county, will proudly be participating in the Annual Eye of the Storm Preparedness Event at the Museum of Discovery and Science.
This free, family-friendly event offers a full day of interactive programming centered around storm preparedness, prevention, and community awareness. Attendees will engage with experts on a wide range of storm-related topics—spanning individual readiness to regional response strategies.
The Emergency Management Bureau will be joined by distinguished partners including the National Weather Service and Florida International University’s Meteorology Department, among others, all working toward the common goal of enhancing community resilience ahead of the 2025 hurricane season.
