Shahrad Mabourakh, MD is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania, medical degree at Temple University Medical School, and Internal Medicine residency at University of California Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Mabourakh has been practicing medicine since 1989.Dr. Mabourakh is licensed to practice medicine in the

state of Florida. Dr. Mabourakh completed a residency in Internal Medicine at University of California Irvine. Specializing in the field of Internal Medicine, Dr. Mabourakh is prepared to provide care to adult patients suffering from a wide range of illnesses and diseases, ranging from the very common to the very rare. Having studied Geriatrics, Dr. Mabourakh has been trained to provide comprehensive medical care for elderly and aging patients. As patients age, they may experience an increased susceptibility to illness and injury; in some cases illnesses or injuries may overlap, creating complicated diagnostic and treatment processes. Dr. Mabourakh is trained to diagnose, treat and manage these and any related medical situations. Patricia Perez, MSN, ARNP is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, licensed by the State of Florida. Perez completed her RN degree and her Masters in nursing at Florida International University. She had fifteen years of nursing experience specializing in Intensive Care prior to completing her ARNP degree in 1994. She joined Dr. Mabourakh in 2001. Matthew Wolland, MSN, ARNP is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, licensed by the State of Florida. Matthew completed his RN degree from University of South Florida, and Masters of Nursing degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2014. Matthew joined Dr. Mabourakh in 2015.

Corporate Medicine has at it's core, financial drive. And that doesn't always translate into good patient care! We hear stories all the time of physicians seeing 40 patients per day! There is no way you can deliver the care that is needed, especially to our senior citizens, seeing that many patients per day! Dr. Mabourakh sees 12 patients per day. Giving each patient the time they deserve and need to ensure great care! 👨‍⚕️❤️🤗

Foods to avoid if you're over 65! This also definitely also applies to most people!
1. Fast Food - It is heavy in fat, salt and sugar which can lead to high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and other chronic conditions.
2. Alcohol - Can disrupt sleep, raise blood pressure and worsen diabetes. More importantly alcohol impairment can lead to slips and falls. Remember we want to do everything possible to avoid falls!
3. High Sodium Foods - Raises blood pressure and increases your risk of stroke or heart attack.
4. Fried Food - They are high in trans fats. Trans fats form when unsaturated fats undergo a process called hydrogenation. The process changes the chemical structure of fats, making them difficult for your body to break down, which can ultimately lead to negative health effects. In fact, trans fats are associated with an increased risk of many health conditions, including heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity
