Pregnancy tip Week 9 🤰

Your low back should not be doing all the work during pregnancy.

This week focus is using your glutes more during everyday movement.

As your body changes it is common to compensate through the low back instead of using the hips and glutes for support.

Using your glutes during movements like standing up may help reduce stress through your pelvis and low back.

Small changes now can help support your body later.

POV: you were just trying to say hi… and I’m already analyzing baby milestones and tension patterns 😂

Occupational hazard of being a pediatric chiropractor. I can’t help but notice the little things, especially when babies are holding their head up super early 👶✨

Every baby is different, but sometimes early head lifting can be connected to tension patterns that may deserve a closer look.

If your baby arches their back often, you’re not imagining it 🤍

Some babies arch during crying, feeding, or when they’re feeling overstimulated or uncomfortable.

Parents may notice:
• stiffening during feeds
• pushing backward when held
• difficulty settling at times

Some movement patterns can be part of normal newborn behavior, while others may be worth paying attention to if they continue frequently over time.

Simple things like slower transitions, upright calming positions, and responsive soothing can sometimes help babies settle more comfortably.

If feeding feels consistently difficult or your baby seems persistently uncomfortable, it’s always okay to check in with a provider.

Pregnancy tip Week 8 🤰

Your body was not designed to stay in one position all day especially during pregnancy.

This week focus is changing positions often.

Sitting or standing too long may increase stiffness joint stress and muscular fatigue as your body adapts.

Frequent movement and short movement breaks may help improve circulation support your muscles and reduce discomfort.

Small movement throughout the day can make a big difference later.

Every chiropractor has that moment where the entire case suddenly clicks together like:
‘If we find the villager, we find Kuzco.’ 😂

Because somehow the neck pain, old ankle sprain, headaches, posture changes, and shoulder tension ALL connect.

If your baby hates tummy time, you’re definitely not alone ❤️

Tummy time can feel hard in the beginning because babies are using new muscles and learning to work against gravity for the first time.

Parents often notice:
• crying during tummy time
• getting frustrated quickly
• difficulty lifting the head

That doesn’t automatically mean something is wrong.

Short, supported sessions throughout the day can help babies gradually build strength and tolerance over time.

If your baby consistently avoids tummy time, strongly favors one side, or you’re concerned about development, it’s always okay to check in with a provider.
