This past weekend UEMSA went to Washington DC for the 2026 National Collegiate Emergency Medical Service Foundation (NCEMSF) Conference. We are incredibly honored to have had the opportunity to expand our understanding of EMS through attending lectures, competing in EMS skills competitions, and meeting other collegiate EMS agencies from across the country! Exactly 6 years ago today, the Medical Response Unit began serving the USF community. This marked the creation of a resource that allows students to access healthcare and transportation for their medical needs. The MRU offers care on campus, ensuring patients do not have to worry about any unexpected bills. Our responders have been there throughout the pandemic and during several hurricanes, helping many individuals along the way. We are proud to be part of the foundation and growth of this amazing unit and we can only hope it continues to earn a spot as a staple part of life here at the University of South Florida. 🚑 🐂
