Next week, one of our Co-Founders, Cat Roderick, will be instructing a 4-hour Course in Winter Haven, FL. This Course is in collaboration with Marcy MacPherson, owner of Still Alive Inside: and founder of DementiAbility.

The course will be held at Spring Haven Retirement on Saturday, January 10th from 9a-12p. A light breakfast will be provided to participants as well.

The focus will be for those that are either the primary caregiver for a loved one with Dementia at home, or those simply looking to have more meaningful interactions with a family member/friend with Dementia. We will also discuss advocacy as well as how to utilize your local resources in the Polk County area.

We are limiting this to 10 participants only, so be sure to pay the fee to secure your spot!

We are eager to help folks understand how to interact with someone living with Dementia, not just Alzheimer's Disease.

This calendar is a joyful celebration of the residents and members of our senior population who graciously shared their time, stories, and smiles.

Calendars are available for $30 each, with all proceeds benefiting DementiAbility. The funds raised directly support education, training, and enhanced resources for those caring for someone living with cognitive changes—helping families, caregivers, and communities provide care rooted in dignity, understanding, and connection.

This project stands as a reminder that our seniors are not defined by age or diagnosis, but by the lives they’ve lived and the value they continue to bring to our community. We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make this meaningful initiative possible.

And the final batch have been delivered, to the The Gallery at North Port. It was bittersweet with this particular batch of photos—Alexis shared with us that a few of these residents have recently passed away. This will be a special gift we can share with their families, memorializing the light these memory care reseidents had within them.
