❣️ Come back home…to yourself.

🙏 I am home in my body.
🙏 I am home in my breath.
🙏 I am home in my being.

❣️ This process of inner reform is an act of selflessness. When we kindle the light within ourselves, it has a ripple effect. When the tide rises, as do all the ships.

🙏 As a wise teacher once taught me…

🙏 “It’s simple but it may not be easy”.

❣️ It’s back to basics, back to our roots, back to ancient wisdom from our ancestors. Sometimes less is more.

Yoga has taught me to be more present in the moment, to appreciate the journey, and accept myself exactly as I am today.

We ebb & flow every day and I’ve learned that as long as I continue to show up for myself and honor where I am that day, I can’t lose. It creates this energetic shift that benefits not only me but everyone around me.

Yoga is about challenging yourself but also knowing where your edge is. This takes practice even for the most experienced yogi. Our minds like to be in the driver’s seat but the heart has all the answers.

How do we find the answers you might ask…?

We use our breath to calm the mind which is not as easy as it sounds. That’s why it is called a practice. It’s this constant dance of observing this noise in our heads without judgment yet continuing to come our mats no matter how we feel or how long it’s been.

The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don’t know. I will always be a student and grateful for the peace and resilience this practice continues to provide and off the mat.

Thank you for your beautiful, eloquent words that inspired me today.
