Witches, every month the Dark Moon is BLACK and can’t be seen, not just this month, and gives us a night or two of only stars and planets in the sky! And this is a time for releasing and resetting (not during the Full Moon, a time of benefic blessings and abundance—not sure how that got turned around!) Calendars were not consulted not so long ago because they didn’t exist for many or people did not have the knowledge to read them. The old-time “calendars” were the movements of the planets, the stars, the Moon, the Sun and subtle changes in nature. So a date on a calendar does not make a specific moon phase any more significant than any other. 2 weeks of waning til the dark/black moon = releasing energies. The Black Moon is for shadow work, inner energy work, suitable for solitary rituals. The New Moon (the first sliver open to the left seen above the sunset) until the Full Moon is for manifesting and growing energies. Think of the Full Moon as the Goddess bestowing blessings. Don’t release that energy, celebrate it!

Get ready, sky lovers September 2025 is about to deliver two of the year’s most breathtaking celestial events!

First, on September 7, the Moon will slip completely into Earth’s shadow, giving us a Total Lunar Eclipse better known as a Blood Moon.

As sunlight filters through Earth’s atmosphere, the Moon will glow in deep shades of red and copper. This eerie beauty is safe to watch with the naked eye, but it’s best viewed under clear, dark skies for maximum drama.

Then, just two weeks later on September 21, the Moon will partially cover the Sun, creating a Partial Solar Eclipse. It will look as if a cosmic bite has been taken from our star, casting crescent-shaped shadows and transforming the light in strange, beautiful ways.

This event is not safe to view without proper protection use certified eclipse glasses, solar filters, or a pinhole projector to enjoy it safely.

With these two spectacular eclipses just days apart, September will be a month for the astronomy books perfect for photographers, stargazers, and anyone who wants to witness the cosmic dance of the Sun, Moon, and Earth.
