You’ve said it every year. You meant it every year. And somehow another year passed anyway.

Your kids aren’t waiting for the timing to be perfect. Neither should you.

My Fall 2026 calendar opens August 1st and my email list gets first access before spots open to the public.

If fall family photos have been on your list, this is your sign to actually do it. Link in bio to join the list and get VIP access before everyone else.

Real talk: I built a version of this business that was designed to keep everyone happy and ended up leaving me completely depleted.

Mini sessions back to back. Galleries in, galleries out. Lots of families served. Zero sense that I was actually serving anyone well.

The problem wasn’t the families. It was the model.

When you rush through a session, you don’t get to use what you actually know. You don’t get to slow down when a baby needs a moment, or let a toddler warm up at their own pace, or style a family so they look like themselves instead of everyone else’s Instagram.

You just get to the next slot.

So I stopped. Rebuilt. And now I take on a small number of full sessions each season where I can actually do the work I trained for.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign that your family deserves more than a rushed slot on a crowded Saturday, this is it.

Here’s the thing nobody wants to say out loud: most family photos don’t survive the decade.

They live on a phone. Then a backup drive nobody labels. Then a migration to a new laptop that “should have worked.” Then nowhere.

I spent years delivering galleries and calling it done. And I kept watching families walk away with beautiful images they never printed, never framed, never held.

So I stopped.

Now every session ends with a guided reveal appointment where we choose the artwork together. Wall pieces. Albums. Framed prints for the shelf. Things that will actually be there in twenty years when your kids want to show someone who you were.

Your camera roll is not a legacy. But your walls can be.

Hot take: your baby is a great communicator.

They’ve been sending very clear signals this whole time. The sneezing during a feed. The way they look away when you’re talking to them. The fingers that spread open like tiny jazz hands right before the meltdown.

You weren’t ignoring them. You just didn’t have the translation guide.

Every single one of those things has a name. Gaze aversion. Stress cues. Dysregulation. I spent years in the NICU learning this language with fragile babies and I promise, once you know what you’re looking for, those exhausting early weeks start to make a lot more sense.

Your baby isn’t unpredictable. Their communication is just quiet. And you’re closer to fluent than you think.
Comment NEONATAL below and I’ll send you my free newborn body language guide with five key signals, what they mean, and exactly how to respond.

New parents spend so much time preparing for the baby. The nursery. The feeding plan. The hospital bag. But nobody tells you that the photographer you choose for those first days matters too. I’m not sharing this to scare you. I’m sharing it because as a Certified Neonatal Therapist with NICU experience, I believe you deserve to walk into any newborn session with any photographer knowing what questions to ask and what to look for.

Comment NEONATAL and I’ll send you my free guide, What Your Newborn Is Telling You: A Guide to Reading Baby’s Cues from a Certified Neonatal Therapist. 🤍

The hardest part of booking family photos isn’t the session. It’s everything before it. Researching. Comparing. Figuring out what to wear. Getting everyone on board. I take all of it off your plate. You show up. I handle the rest. Tap the link in bio. 🤍

There’s a moment in every newborn session when I just stop.

No warning. No countdown. Mid-pose, I’m watching your baby’s fingers, their color, and their breathing. I see the signal before they make a single sound.

Fingers spreading wide. Body starting to extend. A subtle color shift. I catch it every time, because I trained for years in the NICU reading exactly these cues in babies far more fragile than yours.

So we stop. We swaddle, we settle, we wait. Your baby comes back to calm on their own timeline, not mine. And then we keep going.

That’s what baby led newborn photography actually means. A clinical approach where your baby’s body language determines every pose, every break, every moment of the session.

The result isn’t just beautiful images. It’s a baby who looks genuinely peaceful in every single one of them, because they were.

Your baby has been talking to you since day one.

You just haven’t been taught the language yet.

And here’s the thing nobody tells you in the hospital: by the time your baby is crying, they’ve already been trying to communicate for minutes. The cry is the last signal, not the first.

This is the exact framework I use in the NICU as a Certified Neonatal Therapist. Swipe to learn what I look for in every newborn session and what you can start watching for tonight at home.
