The styling piece stops more people from booking than anything else. Not the price. Not the timing. The sheer mental load of figuring out what an entire family wears and making it look intentional and not matchy-matchy and also not chaotic and somehow flattering for everyone involved. I take all of it off your plate. Client wardrobe, style guidance, pre-session consultation. We nail the look together before you ever step in front of my camera. You don’t have to figure this out alone. DM me and let’s get started. 🤍

Sitting still. Smiling on command. Not crying. Not running away. That is not the goal. I’m a Pediatric SLP. I understand how kids actually behave at every age. Toddlers, school-age kids, teenagers who would rather be anywhere else. I design sessions around their real energy, not some imaginary well-behaved version of them. The chaos? That’s where the best shots live.

Tell me in the comments. What’s your kid’s signature move that would “ruin” a photo? 👇

Somewhere a dad just asked his wife to rebook their family session. That same husband said “do we really have to” approximately four times before showing up the first time. I love my job. 🤍 I literally wrote the guide on making this happen. Comment DADS and I’ll send it to you.

Plot twist: The “perfect” Tampa photoshoot location isn’t the one with the prettiest background.

It’s the one where your pregnant body can walk comfortably, your toddler feels safe exploring, and—here’s the big one—your husband doesn’t spend the entire session looking like he’s being held hostage.

I’ve photographed dozens of sessions at my five favorite Tampa area locations—MacDill 48 Park, Cypress Point, Lake Park Lutz, University of Tampa, Honeymoon Island. I know them so well I could navigate them blindfolded (but I won’t, because safety).

When you book, I don’t only ask “which location do you want?” and leave you drowning in Pinterest research.
I ask about your family. Your session type. Any mobility needs. Whether your partner typically enjoys being photographed (spoiler: most don’t, and that’s fine. I know exactly how to work with that).

Then I recommend the location and session approach that creates museum-quality heirloom artwork while ensuring everyone—yes, even reluctant dads—actually enjoys the experience.

Maternity sessions? Romantic scenery with comfortable walking terrain.

Families with young kids? Safe exploration space beats “stunning backdrop where you prevent disasters.”

Multi-generational? Accessibility matters when grandparents participate.

Reluctant partners? Natural movement and connection beats forced “say cheese” any day.

My job is knowing which Tampa location works for your specific situation. Your job is showing up prepared and trusting I’ll handle the rest.

Here’s the real reason choosing Tampa photoshoot locations is overwhelming: Pinterest shows you gorgeous spots without mentioning which ones actually work for families with toddlers who won’t sit still, pregnant moms in their third trimester, or multi-generational sessions where grandparents need accessibility.

After photographing hundreds of Tampa Bay families, I’ve narrowed down my five signature locations—and I know exactly which ones match different family dynamics, session types, and the specific vibe you’re going for.

You’re not supposed to become a Tampa location expert. That’s my job.

Comment LOCATION GUIDE below and I’ll send you the complete article with my five favorite locations, logistics (permits, parking, accessibility), best times for sessions, and how to choose based on your specific family needs.

Stop Googling “best time for family photos in Florida.” I’m about to tell you.

Tampa Bay family photo planning by season:

Winter/Early Spring (Jan-March): Perfect weather, zero humidity, beautiful soft light. This is Tampa’s secret weapon season. The tourists figured it out. You should too.

Spring (April-May): Still comfortable before summer turns us all into walking puddles. Gorgeous for beach sessions, especially when you’ve got visiting family who think 78 degrees is “so warm.”

Summer (June-August): Hot and humid, yes. But also? Dramatic storm-cloud skies and golden hour that makes everyone look like they’re in a movie. I schedule early morning or late evening, and we survive.

Fall (Sept-Nov): Everyone wants fall photos even though Florida fall is a lie we tell ourselves while sweating in 85-degree “autumn.” Flannel in October? Bold choice. We make it work anyway. This season books first every single year.

December: Reserved exclusively for maternity, newborn, and milestone sessions. Babies don’t wait for the calendar, and neither do I.

Your family’s best season depends on what you want to capture, who’s in the photos, and what matters most right now. My full planning guide on my blog breaks down timing for holiday cards, gift prints, wall art, and how to stop overthinking this. Link in bio.

Ready to get on the calendar? DM me “PLAN” and let’s talk dates.

“When we lose the baby weight.”

“When the kids are easier.”

“When we have coordinated outfits.”

“When things calm down.”

Plot twist: Things never calm down.

After photographing Tampa Bay families for years, I’ve learned the baby weight becomes toddler tantrums, then tween attitudes, then teenagers who won’t look at the camera. Your kids won’t be easier—just different levels of chaos wearing bigger shoes. And those coordinated outfits? They’ll last approximately 4.5 minutes before someone discovers a mud puddle.

The perfect moment is a myth we tell ourselves to justify waiting. Meanwhile, the real moments—the imperfect, chaotic, beautiful truth of your family right now—are happening whether you’re documenting them or not.

That squishy baby chub. Those gap-toothed grins. The way your five-year-old’s hand still fits in yours. The brief window when everyone actually fits in your lap. These all have expiration dates you won’t see coming until you’re staring at a teenager wondering where your baby went.

You can’t stop time. But you can preserve it before it slips past you.

My new blog post breaks down exactly when to schedule Tampa Bay family photos in 2026, what seasonal timing actually matters, and how to stop waiting for “someday” (spoiler: someday is now). Link in bio.

Let’s plan something real.

Your 47,000 phone photos are not a family heirloom.

Digital files feel safe and permanent. Until the hard drive fails. Or the phone takes a swim. Or you can’t remember which cloud service you used in 2019.

And even if they survive? They’re invisible.

You can’t see them. Your kids can’t see them. They’re definitely not getting fought over in anyone’s will.

The framed print on your wall? The album your kids beg to look at again? The portrait they’ll steal for their first apartment? Those are heirlooms. Those are the legacy.

When I deliver your family photos, we talk about wall art, albums, and prints—because these moments deserve to exist in your actual world, not just in digital purgatory.

The files are yours. The prints are what matter.

Planning family photos for 2026? My new blog post covers seasonal timing for Tampa Bay, session types, and why this is the year you stop scrolling and start framing. Link in bio.

Holiday card math that actually matters:

Photos in early November + 2-3 weeks editing + up to 1 week printing/delivery = cards that arrive before December 20th.

Photos in late November or December = paying extra for rush shipping and crossing your fingers.

Here's what most families don't realize: if you want holiday cards, framed photos for grandparents, or wall art to gift this year, you need to book your session NOW for early November.

Tampa Bay family session spots for November fill up by August because everyone wants fall photos (even though it's still 85 degrees and we're all pretending that scarf doesn't make us sweat).

December is reserved exclusively for maternity, newborn, and milestone work at my studio. Babies don't wait for the calendar.

Still need family photos this year? Let's talk spring or summer sessions instead. Tampa's secret weapon season is winter/early spring anyway.

DM me "2026" or link in bio to start planning.

Your phone has 47,000 photos of your kids. Your walls have that one frame from 2019.

Let's fix that.

Here's the thing about family photos: everyone wants them, everyone knows they should do them, and then somehow it's December and the baby who was three months old is walking.

Sound familiar? 2026 is the year you actually do the thing.

I wrote a complete guide to planning family photos by season (because Tampa Bay weather gives us options), including the math you need for holiday cards, the truth about waiting for "perfect," and why printed photos are the heirlooms your camera roll will never be.

Link in bio to read the full guide and let's get you on the calendar before life gets in the way again.

Because no one has ever regretted doing family photos. But I've heard countless parents wish they'd done them sooner.
