🗣Your speech therapy works if you or your child is making progress toward the goals set by you and the speech-language pathologist. The rate of progress may vary depending on many factors, such as age, severity of the disorder, how long you've been in therapy, and how motivated you are to practice at home.
🧐But if you're not seeing any progress after several weeks of therapy, it may be time to reevaluate your treatment plan. There are a number of ways to measure progress in speech therapy.
✅1. You're making progress toward your goals.
✅2. You're feeling more confident about your speech.
✅3. You're using the techniques you've learned in your daily life.
✅4. You're seeing results in your performance, whether it's in school or at work.
✅5. Your family and friends have noticed a difference in your speech.
✅6. You feel like you're really communicating, rather than just going through the motions.
🔥If you can say yes to any of these, then congratulations! Your hard work is paying off and you should keep up the good work. Remember to celebrate your successes along the way, no matter how small they may seem. They all add up to big progress in the end.
