Replacement usually takes less time and involves fewer surprises than the first implant. Many patients go home the same day and get back to normal activity quickly. 👍
That said, you still need to come prepared: stop certain meds, arrange a driver, and know what to expect during recovery.

Some arrhythmias are frequent and easy to catch. But others show up rarely and unpredictably. That’s where an electrophysiology (EP) study comes in.

During this minimally invasive procedure, I use small catheters to stimulate the heart with electrical signals or medications. This allows me to induce the arrhythmia in a controlled setting, helping identify the exact type and origin.
