Doing an herbal steam is one of the easiest ways to drain your sinuses & get a facial at the same time!

Whether you have fresh herbs from your garden, the grocery store or the Italian herb blend from your cabinet. They’ll all do the trick.

Just boil some water, throw in your herbs & cover your head taking in some deep breaths. With the fresh herbs I like to smash them in my hands a bit just to help release those volatile oils. Follow it with some lymphatic massage & you’ll be feeling & breathing so much better 🧡

🌸a seasonal tincture I can’t wait to offer again🌸

known as the collective happiness tree.. the flowers & bark from the mimosa tree hold such lovely medicine.

This ally helps with depression, heart break, anger, grief or for those that feel like they can’t shake the funk. It has a way of helping us move through emotion that may be tying us down. Allowing us to feel lighter & at peace. The flowers are said to bring a sense of euphoria & bring back the sparkle in your eye while the bark helps to ground us ✨🩷

This recipe comes from one of my favorite herbal skin care books, Botanical Skin Care Recipe Book!

☀︎After Sun Gel☀︎

This gel is best kept in the refrigerator to increase its cooling effect & you can use it on sunburns & as well as other types of burns.

INGREDIENTS
✿ 1/4 cup (2 fl oz) lavender (Lavandula spp.) hydrosol
✿ 1/4 cup (2 fl oz) thick aloe (Aloe vera) leaf gel
✿ 1/4 tsp xanthan gum (optional)
✿ 48 drops lavender (Lavandula spp.) essential oil (optional)

DIRECTIONS
✿ Using a glass measuring cup or 500-milliliter beaker, combine the lavender hydrosol and aloe gel, and stir until blended.
✿ (this step is optional) Add the xanthan gum, and mix with a mini hand mixer or immersion blender. To avoid clumping, sprinkle a little bit of the xanthan gum on the surface of the liquid at a time, mixing in between additions. Once it is fully dissolved, add the drops of lavender essential oil (if using), stirring them in completely.
✿ Transfer gel to a glass bottle, label, and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Aside from this recipe this book includes 194 herbal recipes for skin & hair care!

My code blooming15 will also work for all of herbalism courses & shop goods through May 6! So if there is an herbal course that has caught your eye this is your sign!

16 minutes of active labor… One of the most intense, yet incredible days of my life. I wanted more than anything to have an unmedicated birth for our last & I feel so honored to have gone through what felt like a final initiation into motherhood. Every part of my physical/mental being felt tested. I truly believe every birth changes a part of your soul. And I am forever changed. Bringing our son earth side really felt like the closing of a circle. Completion. The missing link to our little family. I have fallen so deep into motherhood. The greatest gift of all.
