We all know someone that is either diagnosed with cancer or a caregiver. Take a moment today to reach out to them. Send a text. Give them a call. Send them a message on social media. Tell them you are thinking of them. Not sure what to say?
Tell them a great movie or show you recently watched.
Share your most recent list of music or meditation on Spotify.
If you live in their area, ask them what you can pick up from the grocery store.

Many times, people just don't know what to say... afraid they will say something inappropriate or thoughtless. If this description is you... Cancer... We are all affected. Financially, emotionally, physically... It takes a toll on everything and we all need a little education, a nudge of inspiration on our hardest days, a chuckle here and there and lots of compassion.
We never know what to give someone going through this chapter... A blanket? A meal that they may not be able to eat? Think of Your Hope Daily as the gift that provides information, education & inspiration on their hardest days.

Imagine… Today you, your child or a loved one is diagnosed with cancer. It is a kick in the gut with steel toe boots. If that is not enough of a blow, the doctor then tells you there is a shortage of life saving chemo or medication and you are not on the priority list. That lifesaving drug is not available to you. As you sit and ponder how this is even possible, this situation is playing out today in the United States with 5,250 people diagnosed daily with cancer. Those that may survive or prolong their life may not have the opportunity because of this drug shortage… and it could be YOU since 40% of the US population will be diagnosed with cancer at one time in their life.
This is your opportunity to stand up and say something. Share it on social media. Share it with friends. Call your elected officials especially congress. Have a contact in media? Share it with them too. This is too important not demand attention to this issue because your loved ones, friends, family and community deserve the opportunity to beat cancer.

If a loved one or a friend has been recently diagnosed and you are looking to figure out what your cancer warrior will need for chemo to keep them comfortable, healthy and occupied at the infusion center (some chemo treatments can be up to 4 plus hours), here’s a list to build a Cancer Care Package:
1. Warm cozy blanket for chemo day
2. Tote to carry all their wares
3. Portable phone charger (One that can be charged before they arrive to their appointment and recharge their battery while they are in the chair.)
4. Healthy nonperishable snacks
5. Enterade (Electrolyte replenishment drink geared for cancer warriors.)
6. Meals your loved one can heat up easily. Look up Lasagna Love if you are not in the area of your loved one or you can buy Uber gift card for Uber Eats to their favorite restaurants.
7. Essential oil diffuser with lavender oil to help reduce their stress & anxiety at home
8. Gas cards to get to and from their treatments
9. Amazon gift card because they may need or want something once treatments begin
10. A couple of uplifting books that they would enjoy
11. Local grocery store gift cards

These are just some ideas to start you on building the perfect Warrior Care Package built and off to your loved one!

Today we celebrate everyone that has been affected by lung cancer! The warriors, the survivors, the caregivers and those we have lost to lung cancer... This day is for you!

Did you know that we take approximately 23,040 breaths a day?

Those living in areas with Radon Gas or air pollution are at risk as well as those who smoke or have a family history of lung cancer.
