I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to participate in DMI Intermediate Level B.

Thank you, Jake and Jo-Anne, for helping me grow as a clinician as well as further enhancing my clinical reasoning. You are both great role models to strive to push each child to their highest potential.

And, thank you to all of the other practitioners for making this such a great learning experience!

TASES stands for Task Specific Electrical Stimulation. Therapists apply TASES to a child’s muscle during an “active or functional task to promote strengthening, postural activation, proper alignment, motor learning, and sensory input.” This helps the child work toward their functional goals such as sitting, posture, balance, and/or walking.

Prior to the Level 2 course, I used TASES frequently as an additional tool to help kiddos progress during their intensives. I am excited to continue to add TASES to children’s intensives and watch them continue to make great functional gains!
