We recently shared a story about a local Eagle Scout and his mission to serve our community. Below is an update!

An Tampa based Eagle Scout, Michael Guinn, from Troop 440 in Ocala, FL, started 3D printing PPE in March on his 15 3D printers to help cover Central Florida with Face Shields for frontline medical professionals. Guinn, a DOD Engineer, started in Tampa and quickly spread to be the main supplier to all major hospitals in Tampa spreading south to Sarasota, East to Orlando, and north to Ocala.

To date, the group MRG 3D (which has now filed to be a non-profit called MRG Labs), has been printing for nearly 90 days and has given away over 40,000 face shields FREE OF CHARGE to frontline medical professionals. This has all been fueled by community donations, and also through donations for products. Now, both medical professionals and the general public can order them, plus there is a fun kids line made for those kids that are struggling with wearing a mask.

Today, we made ABC Action News in several markets with Sean Daly! It is a blessing to be here for our community in this time of need, as well as for our future adults! We must protect them too, and we must teach them how to protect themselves as they seek truth in this new world, all while they’re still able to do kid things! Orders are flowing in!
