It’s ! We are still going strong at 12 months and counting 🍼

It was great to get out and support and today with all my .pt gear!

I have TOO MANY conversations with moms who say they can’t do core exercises or leak when they run, jump, or laugh! So many moms are struggling with these issues and don’t know that help is out there 🙋🏻‍♀️ I can help you!

My goal for 2022 is to get out to more events like this and support amazing causes while spreading the word about pelvic floor health 📢

Every mom who walks through my door as a new client has some type of stress. It’s inevitable.

And it’s not surprising that their response when I ask what they do to de-stress is “um… I don’t know” 🤯

I spend a lot of time with my clients on meditating and breath work 🫁 to help learn how to reduce that constant tension in their jaw, neck, glutes, pelvic floor and it is AMAZING how quickly they start yawning and RELAX! 🥱

I am guilty of trying to do it all! Be a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, physical therapist, volunteer, etc. and where is there any room left for yourself?

Carving out 5 minutes a day to just BREATHE 🧘 for YOU and no one else can make a huge difference

I love living in Tampa but the hiking in California is awesome! ⛰We did a 5.5 mile hike in the hills of San Clemente with a view of 🇺🇸

We did not see any scary animals but did find a rock snake! 🐍We also really tested the limits of our stroller with steep hills and some off-roading!

I’ll be honest… my husband did most of the stroller pushing up those hills! 🙊

Took my run downtown today to meet a friend for lunch 😃

I have run here many times pre-pregnancy but now can’t help but stare in awe at where I had my daughter almost 7 months ago 👶🏼

That building used to trigger some memories that were hard to think about… now I can smile at it and think about all the positives 💕

I cant wait to run in a couple weeks and let that positive energy fuel me when I run past the place where my life changed forever

Am I back to my pre-pregnancy weight?

Becoming pregnant is the reason I went into a pelvic floor PT specialization. There is an embarrassingly little amount of support out there for pregnant and postpartum women! I WANT TO CHANGE THAT! 😤😤😤

Thank you so much to for hosting me, my pelvis model, and my squatty potty and allowing me to have an open and honest discussion about pelvic floor health!

🍑LET’S TALK ABOUT “MOM BUTT” 🍑🤷🏻‍♀️

Did your butt completely change postpartum?!

Mine did! 🙋🏻‍♀️

You lose a lot of muscle mass during the pregnancy/postpartum period for so many reasons: lack of exercise, lack of sleep, but THE MOST IMPORTANT factor for your glutes is your POSTURE!

Your posture changes throughout pregnancy and we often stay in that posture postpartum without even realizing it!

Swipe to see some common postpartum postures ➡️

1️⃣ The classic mom butt ❌

2️⃣ The Kim K butt ❌

3️⃣ Rib cage stacked over pelvis ✅

1️⃣ and 2️⃣ put your glutes at a huge disadvantage to contract and makes it hard to strengthen them!

3️⃣ puts yours glutes in a more optimal position to see those 🍑 gains!
