New Blog Post: What is a Compulsion? Understanding the "C" in OCD, By: Hailey George

"Understanding what a compulsion is can be the first step toward finding freedom. A compulsion is a repetitive behavior or mental act that a person feels driven to perform in response to an obsessive thought. Think of it as an attempt to press an "eject" button on anxiety. Have you ever felt an overwhelming urge to do something, even when it didn’t make sense? Maybe it was checking that the door was locked for the tenth time or washing your hands until they were raw, or even asking reassurance-seeking questions to loved ones or ChatGPT. If this sounds familiar, you ...

Rest is not a modern self-care trend; it’s a concept woven into the fabric of creation. In the very first chapter of Genesis, after six days of creating the heavens and the earth, God rested. He didn’t rest because He was tired. He rested to establish a pattern, a holy rhythm for all of creation to follow. He sanctified the Sabbath, setting it apart as a day of rest and worship.

We live in a culture that wears burnout like a badge of honor. The "rise and grind" mentality suggests that our value is directly tied to our productivity. We’re led to believe that if we’re not constantly moving, achieving, and producing, we’re falling behind. This pressure is not only mentally and emotionally exhausting but also spiritually damaging.

New Blog Post: Why Rest Is The New Hustle, By: Hope Shenk.

"Rest isn't the opposite of work; it's a vital part of it. Our society praises the grind, the sleepless nights, and the relentless pursuit of more. But what if the most productive and spiritually fulfilling thing we could do is to slow down? It’s time to make a case for why rest is the new hustle."

Today is World Mental Health Day — a reminder that our mental well-being deserves care, attention, and understanding every day.
Let’s take a moment to check in with ourselves and with those around us. 💬

No one should struggle in silence. Together, we can break the stigma, open conversations, and create a world where mental health is supported and celebrated.

It’s okay to ask for h elp. It’s okay to take a break. It’s okay not to be okay. 💚

Getting started with journaling doesn't have to be intimidating. You don't need to write pages and pages; a few thoughtful sentences are enough. Here are five prompts to guide your reflections this October as you look toward the year's end.
1. What unexpected blessings have I received this year?
2. What challenge has taught me the most about my faith and resilience?
3. How can I show more grace to myself and others in the coming months?
4. What is one habit or mindset I want to release before the new year?
5. What am I looking forward to, and how can I prepare my heart for it?

New Blog Post: October: The Perfect Time for Reflection and Journaling, By: Hope Shenk

"As October arrives, the days are still warm but the air begins to shift, with just a hint of relief from the summer heat. Subtle changes—like softer breezes, earlier sunsets, and some cooler mornings—remind us that the year is moving forward. It’s a season that balances the energy of long summer days with the calm that comes before the holiday rush. This makes October a perfect time to pause, reflect, and set intentions for what’s ahead. If you’ve ever thought about starting a journal, now is a wonderful moment to begin."

Happy Mental Health Monday! 💪

Movement = Medicine

Feeling sluggish or overwhelmed?
Take just 10 minutes to move your body—stretch, dance, walk, run, or go to the gym.

🏃‍♀️ Movement boosts mood, reduces anxiety, and clears mental fog.
You don’t need a gym—just a little space and a little time.

👉 Start small. Your mind and body will thank you.

💬 Comment your favorite way to move! Let's inspire each other to get going this week.
