On National Fentanyl Prevention & Awareness Day, Riverside Recovery was honored to host U.S. Senator Ashley Moody for a press conference and tour of our facility. 🇺🇸

During her visit, Senator Moody spoke about the urgent realities we face: fentanyl overdoses are rising fastest among children 14 and under, half of counterfeit pills now contain a lethal dose, and just a few milligrams can be deadly.

Her time with us was a powerful reminder of why prevention, education, and treatment are critical. 🤝 At Riverside, we remain committed to supporting our community and standing on the frontlines in the fight against fentanyl.

“I’ve never done anything in moderation—it’s always been more, and the most.”

After years of partying and living in addiction, Matt hit a breaking point in 2022. Depleted and out of ideas, he picked up the phone and asked his brother for help. That call led him to Riverside Recovery.

For the first time in his life, Matt surrendered. He followed the suggestions of others, leaned into the process, and found a new beginning through Riverside’s care and the support of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Today, Matt is over three years sober.

He’s built a life rooted in integrity, accountability, and service. He’s a sponsor, a reliable friend and employee, and someone who no longer has to lie or hide from the people he loves.

His story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to ask for help.
