Paul DiGiorgi, MD, is an expert board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon caring for patients 18 and older. Dr. DiGiorgi earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut and then completed his cardiothoracic surgery residency and cardiothoracic clinical fellowship at New York University School of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. DiGiorgi is a member of various clinical societies, holds many medical awards and has published numerous medical articles. He was previously the President of the Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. In his free time, Dr. DiGiorgi enjoys the arts, wood crafting, fitness, and motorsports.

Dr. DiGiorgi is a helper at heart. His desire to serve others and his passion for medicine led him to pursue a career in surgery. Michael DeFrain, MD, FACS, is an expert physician specializing in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery. Dr. DeFrain is board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and provides expert care to patients ages 18 and older, compassionately attending to their every need as if they were a member of his own family. Dr. DeFrain earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency in cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at the Texas Heart Institute and MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. DeFrain understands that surgical needs, especially in cardiothoracic care, are among the most complex in medicine. His calling to the field is deeply connected to the responsibility he feels to deliver high quality care with expert skill, backed by more than 20 years of experience. We are excited to welcome Padmaja Sajja, MD, to AdventHealth Medical Group Pulmonology & Critical Care at Sun N Lake.

Padmaja Sajja, MD, is a pulmonary and critical care physician providing care to patients ages 18 and older. She earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and pulmonary fellowship at Harlem Hospital Center in New York. She was a chief internal medicine resident and a chief pulmonary fellow during her training. She is board-certified in internal medicine and preparing for her pulmonary and critical care board certifications. She also pursued an additional fellowship in critical care medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. In her free time, Dr. Sajja enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, sketching and is very passionate about leading and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Sajja desires to improve her patients’ quality of life and continuously engages with innovative technologies and treatments.

Chester Wilmot, MD, is a board-certified Urologist who cares for patients ages 18 and older. He is certified by the American Board of Urology. Dr. Wilmot earned his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Upon completing his degree, Dr. Wilmot finished his residency in Urology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Wilmot completed a Fellowship in female pelvic floor reconstruction. In his free time, Dr. Wilmot enjoys photography, road biking, running, and computing. He is fluent in both English and Afrikaans.

Dr. Wilmot was drawn to Urology because it allows him to provide hands-on care and stay updated with advancing technology. It also enables him to build long-term relationships with patients, helping them maintain a good quality of life.
