Please join us in welcoming Mackenzie Wilson to McPherson Health and Rehab as their new Director of Nursing!

Mackenzie has been a nurse for nearly 10 years and spent 3 years as a CNA prior, with all of her experience rooted in long-term care. She’s passionate about stepping into the DON role to help create a positive, impactful environment for both residents and staff, and to drive meaningful change each day.

A few fun facts about Mackenzie:
🕸️ She enjoys everything spooky
🎷 She used to play the alto saxophone
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 She’s the middle of 7 siblings, coming from a wonderfully mixed family

Her dedication to fostering a supportive, high-quality care environment reflects our Mission Health CARES values — Character, Attitude, Respect, Excellence, and Service.

Welcome to the team, Mackenzie! We’re so glad you’re here. 💙💚

February is a time to celebrate the meaningful connections that make our Mission communities feel like home. This year, Amy Meinecke, Executive Administrator, and Cindy Heigel, Life Enrichment Director, at The Residence at North Ridge launched CARES Hearts Across Mission—an initiative designed to bring our communities closer together through creativity, compassion, and shared purpose.

By inviting residents and staff to create handmade Valentine’s Day cards for sister communities across Mission Health, this project became more than an activity—it became a way to strengthen relationships, spark joy, and remind one another that we are all Connected in Rhythm, no matter the miles between us.

Check out our latest blog to see how our communities came together to spread kindness across Mission!

Big congratulations to Cynthia Cain at Kaw River Care & Rehabilitation Center on becoming the 2025 Mission Health Dining and Nutrition Overall Top Performer!

This recognition reflects Cynthia’s outstanding performance across key areas that directly support the Mission Experience—from improving overall patient satisfaction and strengthening department retention, to meeting the 12-month food budget goal and maintaining excellent survey outcomes with zero dietary-related F-Tags. Her continued commitment to professional growth by obtaining and/or maintaining her CDM, CFM, or related associate degree throughout the year further demonstrates her dedication to excellence.

Cynthia’s impact is a true reflection of our CARES values—Character, Attitude, Respect, Excellence, and Service—and the difference that high-quality dining and nutrition services make in the lives of those we serve each day.

Thank you, Cynthia, for your leadership and commitment! 👏

Three days. One Mission. A whole lot of momentum. 🚀

We recently welcomed our newest administrators and AIT for an immersive onboarding experience focused on the Mission Experience—from financials and clinical services to recruitment, leadership, and what truly sets Mission Health apart.

We were also excited to have our new CFO, Clay Spriet, join the onboarding, reinforcing the importance of collaboration, transparency, and shared leadership from day one.

Our President & CEO, Stuart Lindeman, spent time with the group sharing the story of how Mission Health came to be, his own journey within skilled nursing, and why our CARES values are at the heart of everything we do.

👏 Please help us welcome our newest leaders:
• Nicole Gupton – Chase County Care & Rehabilitation Center
• John Rainbolt – Downs Care & Rehabilitation Center
• Mandy Ehrlich (AIT) – Wilson Care & Rehabilitation Center

With incredible support from Jacy Pearson, Upper Midwest Business Development Director, and Shannon Martinez, Kansas Recruiter, this onboarding set the tone for strong leadership, connection, and purpose.

Welcome to the Mission—we’re excited to see the impact you’ll make! 💙💚

February is Heart Health Month—a gentle reminder to care for the organ that keeps us moving, caring, and connecting every single day. ❤️

At Mission Health Communities, heart health is woven into how we live out our CARES values each day. From the meals we serve and the movement we encourage, to the laughter shared in our halls and the compassion shown in every interaction, these small moments add up to big benefits for both residents and team members.

This month, take a little extra time for your heart—go for a walk, drink more water, choose heart-smart foods, and share a smile with someone around you. Caring for your heart helps you keep caring for others.
