Today, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital hosted its annual Holiday Shop, turning the hospital into a winter-wonderland pop-up "store" where parents and guardians could pick out special gifts for their children spending the holidays in the hospital, completely free of charge. ❄️🎁

This program is made possible thanks to the generosity of donors, like our Presenting Sponsor Amazon.com, our Stocking Sponsor KAM Roofing Services, and Dunkin'. Also, a big thank you to the dedication of volunteers who gave their time, energy, and compassion to making the season brighter for everyone at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital.

Together, we sprinkled comfort, joy, and a whole lot of holiday magic throughout the hospital. Thank you for helping the spirit of giving shine brighter than ever! ✨❤️🎄

For nearly 70 years, the St. Joseph’s Hospitals Auxiliary has been a pillar of compassion, service, and community support. What began in 1957, with dedicated volunteers and the opening of the very first hospital gift shop, has grown into an extraordinary legacy that continues to shape the future of care for families across Tampa Bay.

Today, we are honored to share that the Auxiliary has generously gifted $1 million to support the construction of the new freestanding Pagidipati Children’s Hospital at St. Joseph’s, opening in 2030. This transformational gift reflects decades of dedication from nearly 400 volunteers across four hospital campuses who give their time to operate gift shops, host specialty sales, greet visitors, and champion programs that directly impact patients and families.

Thank you to the St. Joseph’s Hospitals Auxiliary for your remarkable legacy of kindness and your profound impact on the future of pediatric health care.

Thank you to the Board of Trustees at Berkeley Preparatory School for volunteering at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital this week! Thanks to their support, we were able to deliver holiday cheer by painting hospital windows, creating comfort baskets and providing craft activities for our young patients. As they enter the hospital, spend time in the lobby and walk the halls, we want them to be reminded that this is a season of hope and joy. We appreciate the Board of Trustees efforts to make the holidays a little brighter for all! 🎄🎁❄️

Keebler Straz and Virginia Bowden Nunn joined the fun as Foundation judges, making this heartwarming tradition even more special.

What began as a smooth pregnancy for Jessica Ingle took an unexpected turn at just 24 weeks and 4 days, when her water suddenly broke. She thought she would be heading right back home, but instead, found herself facing a high-risk journey she never anticipated.

For 21 days, Jessica remained in the High-Risk Maternity Unit at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital, where her nurse Aracely Blesy became her steady source of comfort, reassurance, and expert care. Aracely stayed by her side through every moment, including the frightening moment that she experienced a cord prolapse. She calmly guided Jessica, reminding her she could still feel her baby’s heartbeat and that everything would be okay. Aracely continued supporting Jessica through an emergency C-section, and on May 31, 2025, baby Cash entered the world.

He was immediately cared for by the NICU team, who helped the Ingles family navigate every step with compassion, clear communication, and hope. After 100 days in the NICU, Cash finally went home, strong, loved, and surrounded by a community that never stopped believing in him.

When Tucker Witte first noticed swelling around his eye, he assumed it was a routine football injury. But after the bruising worsened, tests at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital revealed something far more serious, a rare 5.5-inch tumor between his brain and eye, later diagnosed as Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, an extremely uncommon form of cancer in teens.

The diagnosis was challenging, but Tucker wasn’t alone. His care team at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital rallied around him, coordinating with national specialists to create the most personalized and effective treatment plan. Through 12 cycles of advanced chemotherapy, Tucker pushed forward with incredible resilience, even managing to play in 9 of 13 football games thanks to the support, strategy, and compassion of those caring for him.

His nurses and doctors didn’t just provide treatment, they showed up at his games, cheered him on, and became part of Team Tucker in every sense. Almost a year after his first injection, Tucker rang the bell, marking the end of treatment and the beginning of a new chapter.

Thanks to the expert, heartfelt care he received, Tucker and his family are looking ahead to the bright future he deserves. To read more about Tucker's story, please visit: https://bit.ly/3LXyZhp
