Every purchase supports the Women’s Auxiliary and directly benefits St. Joseph's Women's Hospital, funding programs and services that make a meaningful difference for patients, families, and our community.

We’re proud to share this exciting milestone at St. Joseph’s Hospital!

We’re proud to announce that St. Joseph’s Hospital has successfully placed their first Aortix® pump as part of the CSP001-E DRAIN-HF clinical study. This groundbreaking study is designed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the Aortix® percutaneous mechanical circulatory support pump in patients with acute decompensated heart failure who remain congested despite diuretic therapy.

This milestone makes St. Joseph’s Hospital the first BayCare site to complete an implantation. A huge thank you to our team members for their collective efforts to not only advance clinical research but also bring promising new options to patients living with advanced heart failure.

It's National Teddy Bear Day! To celebrate we transformed the St. Joseph's Children's Hospital lobby into a Teddy Bear Clinic! Together with our Child Life team and BayCareKids Safety & Wellness, patients became future doctors as they gave their new stuffed friends full check-ups.

BayCareKids Safety & Wellness routinely goes out into the community hosting Teddy Bear Clinics. These playful clinics not only bring smiles but also help ease anxieties around medical care, making each visit a little less overwhelming and a lot more fun.

Smiles, giggles, and lots of healthy teddies filled the day! 🧸💙

We’re thrilled to support the opening of the new fitness and wellness gym at St. Joseph's Hospital-South! 💪

This 1,200 sq. ft. space gives team members, physicians, and volunteers a dedicated place to focus on their health and well-being, helping them stay energized and at their best while caring for patients. Open 24/7 with ID badge access and free for staff, the gym was made possible through the hospital’s 5th floor expansion and thoughtful planning from the hospital team.

The St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation is proud to support initiatives like this that promote wellness, strengthen the incredible healthcare teams, and enhance the care that is provided to patients every day.

This month, we’re celebrating Jane Alkire’s 2-year anniversary with St. Joseph’s Hospitals Foundation!

From day one, Jane has been inspired by the Foundation’s mission, blending her passion for healthcare with meaningful philanthropy. Over the past two years, she’s found great reward in working with the incredible Auxiliary volunteers — many of whom have dedicated 10+ years of service to the hospitals.

Jane is currently leading the A Place for Her project at St. Joseph's Hospital - North — a healing space designed to support women facing breast cancer with wigs, clothing, and post-surgery solutions. This initiative is deeply meaningful to our community, and Jane is committed to finding philanthropic partners who share this vision and want to help bring it to life.

When Joan Seivold walked into St. Joseph's Hospital on April 9th, she had no idea her life was about to change forever. Her husband Joe, a healthy and active man, had collapsed earlier that day.

What she thought might be a result of intermittent fasting turned out to be something far more serious—a ruptured brain aneurysm threatening his life. What followed was a complex, multi-procedure medical journey, including 45 days in the Intensive Care Unit, and a recovery that continues to unfold. But amid the fear and uncertainty, Joan found something unexpected: comfort, connection, and a deep sense of being cared for—not just as a caregiver, but as part of the St. Joseph’s family.

In honor of Neurosurgery Awareness Month, Joan is sharing her story to spotlight the extraordinary care Joe received and the unwavering support she experienced. From the expertise of Dr. Juan Valdivia-Valdivia and his neurosurgery team, to the precision and innovation of Dr. Kevin Murtagh and the interventional radiology team, to the warmth of long-tenured staff members, Joan’s experience reflects the heart of St. Joseph’s: clinical excellence paired with compassionate care.

Their story is a powerful reminder that healing is not just about medicine—it’s about humanity. And at St. Joseph’s, that humanity is felt in every hallway, every conversation, and every moment.

Behind every act of care at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is a team of caregivers who also need support in difficult times. 💙

When a child passes, the loss is felt deeply - not just by families, but by the nurses, doctors, and team members who have poured their hearts into their care. Thanks to a Humanity Grant generously funded by Scott & Kirsten Price, Pediatric ICU nurse Stacey Whitby created Bereavement Self-Care Packages for team members coping with the loss of a patient.

These thoughtfully curated packages include items like bath salts, teas, snacks, and motivational notes to remind the team members that their grief matters, helping them heal and return to the bedside with renewed strength.
