Waking up Achy and Stiff?

Here’s my bathroom routine to help… and yes, my cat supervises. 😸

Between brushing my teeth and getting ready, I’m stretching my legs, rotating my hips, rolling my shoulders, doing a few squats, shaking out the wiggles, breathing deep, and even sneaking in a little sink stretch for my back. It’s not fancy. It’s not long. But ohhh it feels so good — and my body thanks me every single time.

Sometimes the best movement is the kind you do in pajamas with an audience of one furry judge. 🐾

Except for 2 times, we've kept that up. It's nice to be with someone who accepts ALL OF YOU!! Thank you for being my best friend and husband. 💥

After years of marriage, I’ve learned that love isn’t just the butterflies. It’s the daily choice. It’s kindness during hard conversations, laughter in the kitchen, holding hands when life feels heavy, and saying “I’m still here” again and again. Real love deepens — it softens you, strengthens you, and stretches you in the most beautiful ways.

For those of you in your 40s and 50s, love looks different than it did at 25 — and that’s a gift. It’s wiser. It’s more intentional. It’s less about proving and more about appreciating. And sometimes, the most important love story is the one where you finally feel at home in your own heart. 💕
