Celebrating community, culture, and wellness this Cinco de Mayo!

We were so excited to attend this Health Fair & Fiesta hosted by Farmworkers Self-Help Inc., where we connected with local families, distributed essential supplies, and provided free health screenings to support healthier communities.

Because when our communities thrive, we all thrive!☀️💛

This summer, Pioneer Medical Foundation is proud to welcome 30 new volunteers and full-time interns as they begin learning not only the business of healthcare, but also the power of service, compassion, and community impact.

Our interns and volunteers will gain firsthand insight into our Foundation’s mission and the work we do to support underserved individuals and families throughout our community. They also had the opportunity to hear from our CEO, Dr. S. Irfan Ali , who shared valuable lessons on leadership, resiliency, and perseverance.

We are reminded that today’s interns and volunteers are tomorrow’s leaders, and it is our responsibility to mentor, guide, and invest in them as they grow into the future of healthcare and service.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. We are honored to walk alongside you and cannot wait to see all you accomplish.

Care without boarders: A Mission to Jamaica 🇯🇲

Last week, the Pioneer Medical Foundation team traveled to Jamaica to support communities in Black River, one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Melissa.

What we encountered was both jarring and deeply inspiring.

We walked into remote churches and neighborhoods, delivering medical supplies, water filtration systems, and essential resources to families still navigating the aftermath. Because the reality is this: when the headlines fade, the need does not. Long after a disaster leaves the news cycle, communities are still rebuilding, still waiting, still in need.

At Black River Hospital, the devastation was undeniable. Nearly 90% of the facility was destroyed. Patient care is being delivered in tents. One operating room is serving hundreds of thousands of people. And yet, despite these conditions, care continues. Resilience continues. Hope continues.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Milton Brown for leading this mission and allowing us to stand alongside those doing critical work on the ground. This experience reaffirmed something we believe at our core: compassion does not recognize borders. When there is a call to serve, we answer.
No matter where. No matter how far.
Because this is our mission.

Pioneer Medical Foundation was proud to be in attendance at this vibrant community event, continuing our commitment to showing up where it matters most.

Partnering with the University Area CDC is always an honor. Together, we are strengthening the fabric of our community creating spaces where connection, resources, and opportunity come together.

Events like Fiesta Bay at Harvest Hope Park are a powerful reminder that meaningful change happens through collaboration. When organizations unite with a shared purpose, we don’t just serve we build lasting impact.

At Pioneer Medical Foundation, we remain committed to bridging the gap and walking alongside our neighbors every step of the way.

Incredible things happen when community partners come together, thank you Rotary Club of New Tampa for all your support.

At Pioneer Medical Foundation, service is more than an experience it’s a calling.

Hearing Ali Khan speak about his desire to enter the medical field to serve others is a powerful reminder of why we invest in the next generation of healthcare leaders.

Through hands-on service, mentorship, and meaningful patient interactions, our interns don’t just learn medicine they learn compassion, purpose, and the true impact of care.

We are proud to be part of his journey and to help shape future leaders who will continue to bridge the gap in healthcare.

This is our WHY!

This past Saturday, Elizabeth and William Lamb returned to our clinic not in pain, but smiling, healthy, and full of life. Seeing them together, thriving, was a powerful moment for our entire team.

In 2024, Elizabeth applied to Operation Walk USA, hoping her husband William might qualify for a free knee replacement. After retiring to the United Kingdom without access to healthcare, both were living with significant pain and limited options.

What began as William’s evaluation became something greater. With the support of our partners at AdventHealth West Florida, Florida Orthopaedic Institute and the generosity of many volunteers let by Dr Brian Palumbo who volunteers him time in clinic to care for those who are uninsured, Elizabeth and William underwent surgery on the same day together.

Today, they are walking, spending time with family, and living without the pain that once defined their daily lives.

“I am forever grateful… Thank you isn’t enough.”

At Pioneer Medical Foundation, this is the impact of removing barriers to restoring mobility, dignity, and hope.

Moments like these are why we do what we do.

This Volunteer Appreciation Week, we’re reflecting on the heart behind everything we do, and it always comes back to our volunteers!

Because of you, we’re able to show up for our community in meaningful ways. Whether you’re welcoming patients in our clinic, supporting our health fairs, or helping behind the scenes at events, you create spaces where people feel seen, valued, and cared for.

It’s more than just the time you give, it’s the compassion you bring to every moment. The impact you make is felt far beyond what we can put into words.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you.
Thank you for being such an important part of what we do.
