Psalm 111 ✔️ 7/52 😌

Memorized my first entire Psalm 🥳
It’s only 10 verses, but I’ll take it!

If you missed it, I’m memorizing passages each week from my Bible-in-a-year plan — and I’d love for you to join me. I saved the plan I’m following in my highlights if you want to jump in. If you’re doing this with me, tag me so I can share and we can encourage others! 💞

Philippians 4:11–13 ✔️ 7/52

This week was far from perfect. I ended up cramming all of my reading in yesterday and just started rehearsing this verse today. If I’m being honest, if it weren’t for the number of people who’ve come up to me or messaged me saying this has blessed them and motivated them to read and memorize more… I probably would have skipped posting this week.

That’s exactly why accountability and community matter so much in our walk.

It’s so easy to think, “I’ve been consistent for six weeks — missing one won’t matter.” But one small choice not to show up makes it easier to make the same choice the next day… and the next. Before you know it, you’ve quietly drifted.

I even noticed a shift in my mental state this week. When I’m not renewing my mind daily and meditating on His Word, I feel it.

So truly — thank you. To everyone who messages me or stops me to share how the Lord has used this to encourage you… your encouragement keeps me accountable. Without that, I might have stepped off the track — and if I’m honest, judging the past I would’ve stayed off.

oh how fitting is this week’s verse.

Not in my discipline — but in Him. 💛

Philippians 2:3–11 ✔️ 6/52 😌

We’re at a dear friend’s home this weekend, so I get the privilege of filming this week’s memory verse on their beautiful property.
This passage was so soothing to memorize. Every time I practiced it, it brought such peace and joy to my heart — I couldn’t help but smile. I pray you were able to meditate on it this week too.

If you missed it, I’m memorizing Scripture each week through my Bible-in-a-year plan and inviting you to join me. I have a highlight saved if you’d like to see which plan I’m using. If you’re doing this with me, tag me so I can share — let’s encourage each other 💞

Ephesians 2:1–10 ✔️ 5/52 🤒😷

We’re on the struggle bus over here with illness this week, and wow… this one was tough. This isn’t easy for me. It actually takes a lot of intention and daily practice to hide God’s Word in my heart… but that’s kind of the point. Having to work at it means I’m meditating on it all day, not just reading and moving on.

This was the hardest week yet, and I still didn’t make it all the way through verse 10. But that’s okay — we’re after consistency and obedience, not perfection. The old me would’ve skipped sharing this because I didn’t “do it perfectly,” but that kind of thinking is a lie from the enemy.
As we wrap up January, here’s your gentle nudge 🤍 If there’s something you already gave up on because you weren’t doing it perfectly — don’t stay there. That voice telling you to quit is not from the Lord. Commit to yourself and to God to show back up.
Faithfulness over flawlessness. Always.

If you missed it, I’m doing memory verses every week out of my Bible in a year plan and inviting you all to come along and memorize with me! I have a highlight if you’d like to see which plan I’m doing. If you’re doing this with me, tag me and I’ll share so we can encourage others!!💞

Feeding the girls a little extra love in these below-freezing temps ❄️🐔

Winter can be hard on laying hens, so right now they’re getting:
• Flock Guard
• Crushed, dried eggshells
• table scraps

This combo helps keep their bodies strong while they work overtime staying warm.

Galatians 2:20-21 ✔️4/52 ❄️🥶
Rain, snow or shine, we’re doing this!

Can you tell which dog is the trained service animal vs which are the outdoor feral puppies?! (Watch other scripture videos to get it 😆)

📚Safe Children Chapter Books for the Christian Home 📚

If you’ve got a young reader who’s advanced for their age, you know the struggle. They’re ready for chapter books and deeper stories… but more mature content is not an option.

I wanted books that actually challenge their minds, spark curiosity, and keep them engaged without compromising our Christian values. And that is getting harder and harder to find these days.

So I went straight to you guys and compiled a tried-and-true reading list that covers a wide range of categories. Classics. History. Faith-based adventure. Wholesome imagination. Stories that build character and the family bond instead of tearing it down. Because protecting their hearts and minds truly takes a village.

I’m grateful to be part of one that cares deeply about what we’re putting in front of our kids.

If you’re navigating the same season, here’s a list you can trust.

Now tell me… what did I miss? 📚✨

In just two weeks, meditating on God’s word all week has done more for my mental health than any therapist, medicine, or herb ever has. It’s been such a reminder that we truly have everything we need right at our fingertips. 📖

🌾The old adage goes “knee-high by the 4th of July” in order to have a good harvest and this popcorn is towering over me. 🥳 (It’s more of a benchmark for field corn but that’s ok I’m still soaking it all in.)

What a reminder of God’s faithfulness and abundance. We planted the seeds, but He brought the growth. Grateful for healthy soil, good rain, and the kind of growth you can measure.

It’s not just about the harvest — it’s about trusting Him in every season.
