Did you know January is Glaucoma Awareness Month?

High risk factors for glaucoma include people over 60, African Americans 40 years and older, family history of glaucoma, and people with diabetes.

If you are at an increased risk, talk to your physician about getting an eye exam. If treatment is needed, Health Matters Pharmacy has the necessary medications to preserve your vision health.

Did you know that January Is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month?

Approximately 13,000 women in the US are diagnosed with Cervical Cancer each year? Even though it is one of the few types of Cancer that is nearly 100% preventable.

Regular screening is the best method of prevention. If your doctor spots abnormalities early on, these cells can be treated before they turn into cancer.

Cervical Cancer can also be prevented by protecting yourself from the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) which is the most common cause of Cervical Cancer.
