September is National Gum Care Month!

Let’s talk about something that often gets overlooked: your gums.

Do you know the 3 stages of gum disease?

1. Gingivitis – Early stage. Gums may bleed when brushing or flossing, but there’s no pain and it’s completely curable with good hygiene and regular checkups.
2. Periodontitis – Damage begins. The jawbone and ligaments are affected. At this stage, the disease can only be managed, not cured.
3. Advanced Periodontitis – The final stage. Tooth loss, jawbone deterioration, and painful, costly reconstruction can occur.
