My journey in the healthcare industry began my sophomore year in college. I landed a job as a biller for a physical and occupational therapy practice. Little did I know that this was the start of my lifelong career.

Sixteen years later, my resume includes experience not only in medical billing, but collections, follow up appeals, system implementation, auditing, training, credentialing and more. My tenure in the healthcare field taught me that I have a passion for change, which is a rare gift. While many people resist change and moving out of their comfort zone, I thrive in this environment, making the healthcare field an exciting venue to work. I am addicted to learning. Growing up, I did not watch much television, so I spent my leisure hours at the library learning. That habit has followed me into my adulthood, and I still enjoy going to the library, reading, and learning.

Through my experience, I discovered how to use my passion to help others navigate the terrain of healthcare in the areas of billing, system implementation and managing their revenue cycle. In 2009, MedXperts was born from this passion.

MedXperts works with organizations to fill the gaps in their revenue cycle and system development. But, we also work directly with the patients to answer questions on medical billing. Our customers feel more empowered and informed about their medical billing and what is being covered by their insurance after talking with us. It is one of my greatest joys to help consumers and businesses alike feel more confident and knowledgeable about medical billing systems and processes.

When I’m not working with our customers, I appreciate the opportunity to spend time with my 4 children and 1 grandchild. I also enjoy my role as a USATF track official and love traveling to different universities officiating track meets.
