“Kegels” became the default answer for almost every pelvic floor issue.
But what if your pelvic floor is already overworking?

More squeezing is not always better.
Sometimes the real issue is:
• Tension
• Poor coordination
• Inability to relax
• Nervous system overload

And that’s why blindly doing pelvic exercises can sometimes make symptoms worse instead of better.
Your body deserves an assessment, not a guess.

If you’ve been dealing with pelvic discomfort, pressure, pain, or ongoing symptoms that are not improving, it may be time to look deeper.

Have you noticed how “lady-like” posture keeps you tight and closed off… 🤍

Now, I understand that there is a time and place for being ladylike ✨, but check in with yourself and see what your body language is for most of the day.

Does your body say that it is unsafe, nervous, not confident, or even scared with closed-off body posture? 😣

Or is your body saying that you're safe in your own skin, comfortable, and confident by being open in the shoulders, hips, and knees? 🧘‍♀️

The biggest secret of somatics is that it can be used to change our energy, emotions, and trauma survival patterns.

By consciously choosing more open body language, you signal to your brain—and to the world—that you are comfortable, confident, and most importantly… safe 🤍

Try this subtle change and tell me how you feel 💫

Ever notice how a scared puppy tucks its tail, and a happy puppy lets it move freely?👀

Our tailbone responds in a similar way. When we feel overwhelmed, anxious, or unsafe, the tailbone subtly tucks and pelvic muscles tighten. When we feel supported, calm, and regulated, the pelvis moves more freely.

Emotional stress and pelvic tension are closely connected. Learning to manage stress, process emotions, and create safety in your body can directly influence how your pelvic floor feels and functions.🏃‍♀️‍➡️

If this explanation helped something click for you, share it with someone who needs it. And if pelvic tension has been part of your story, DM us to schedule an assessment.🩷

Pelvic floor dysfunction does not always show up as leaking or obvious pain. ❗

Sometimes the signs are less expected. Frequent UTIs, shortness of breath, weaker or***ms, breech or transverse babies, a longer pushing stage during birth, and persistent hip or low back pain can all be connected to how the pelvic floor is functioning.

When the pelvic floor is not coordinating well with the rest of the body, other systems can begin to compensate. Identifying these patterns early can help guide the right treatment and support long-term pelvic health.

If any of these symptoms sound familiar, a pelvic health assessment can help you better understand what your body needs.👩‍⚕️🌷

Providing heart-centered service has been at the core of Pelvic Soul since the inception of our practice. 💛

Continuing our annual tradition of supporting a worthy non-profit, Pelvic Soul is proud to announce our Season of Giving Drive in support of the Samphia Foundation. 🎁 Every holiday season, our mission-driven pelvic health practice selects one non-profit to uplift — and this year, we’re honored to support an organization that helps underserved communities in the Himalayas. 🏔️

Why Samphia Foundation?
Founded in 2019 by Dr. Shruti More, the Samphia Foundation works in remote mountain communities of Himachal Pradesh, India, to support children with disabilities. Their mission is to build an inclusive society where “ability is not defined by limitations, but by opportunities.” ✨

Here’s how they make a difference:
🧒 At their Aash Early Intervention Therapy Program (EITP), they provide intensive, strength-based support to young children with developmental disabilities.
🚐 Through their Therapy on Wheels initiative, Samphia brings physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to hard-to-reach mountain villages.
📚 They are building inclusive school environments, launching a Special Needs Resource Room in partnership with Cambridge International School in Kullu.
🏆 Their Therapy on Wheels program earned a prestigious Zero Project Award for innovation in disability services.

Our “Dollar for a Dollar” Season of Giving Drive runs from now through January 1, 2026. Every dollar you give will be matched by us — doubling the impact of your contribution. ❤️‍🔥

How You Can Help:
📞 Donate by phone: Call our office at 813-563-1585
🗓️ Donate when planning your care online or in-office

Every donation you make will be equally matched by Pelvic Soul, helping children in mountain communities receive life-changing therapies — your generosity truly goes twice as far. 💙

Thank you for supporting Samphia’s mission. Together, we can help build a more inclusive world. 🌍💫
