Lend a helping hand if you can!

(https://gofund.me/4cbe6db4) About a month ago, our wonderful and caring clinician Kimberly, fell from 12 feet high, breaking both her feet and lacerating her left hand. She lives alone with her two sweet children and could really use any assistance in covering $6,000 worth of medical expenses. After the accident, we started a company-wide GoFundMe and have decided to open it up to the public as well. Any donations would be deeply appreciated until Kim is able to get back on her feet again. (Pun intended) The Link to donate is attached above and below!

I spoke to a long time friend today who works at a community fitness center. She had family and friends NOT living in the same house and had NO contact with her. They were sick and one died of COVID. I suggested she post it on social media to let other friends and family know about the COVID affecting someone they know.

She said she was afraid to be a pariah, that people would not come in to see her because they might think somehow she would have COVID!

I THINK WE SHOULD SPREAD THE WORD that COVID SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY, that we should listen to scientists and healthcare providers. Follow proper precautions to protect ourselves and others.

At our facility, we observe very carefully all precautions and we test our staff when having any doubt at all. I think because we were carefully and thorough that we have not had any transmission within our company and patients.

Our patients have confidence in us and continue to come to a hygienic environment for their pain relief and functional improvements. They're happy and happiness does scientifically boost immunity through production on neuro chemicals within our bodies.

I'm posting so that our patients, families, and friends will respect your health and take care of yourselves and your loved ones properly:

Wash hands, use hand sanitizer, wipe down objects you need to touch, (I) wear double masks if not N95 or KN95, stay 6 feet apart, eat in hygienic places with minimal people around to reduce your exposure risks.

When in doubt, get tested at free centers in your community.

Thanks to our patients! Happy weekend!

Happy Thursday!

A lady in her 40's came in with what my student said were "RED FLAGS". She had pain everywhere: back, neck, shoulders, hypersensitivity, she went on and on with how her family also got pain, cancer, etc. She had knee braces to hold her legs, but could only wear one at a time because the brace rub against each other...She moved stiffly, any movement hurts. She holds her breath and deeper breathing caused pain.

What I saw was someone who's brain is hypersensitized and confused by all the pain signals. Family issues or not, she's mixing it all up. At this point she can't differentiate one from another. Her brain can't organize step by step how to deal with her multiple issues.

What she needed was first learn and practice calming her sympathetic system...slowing down, quieting down, learning to gently and deeply take air in and out. Getting her metabolism to calm and normalize.

Then we added the laser treatment to warm her and reduce pain.

She still has a long way to go. But calming first, then treating, peeling the layers of pain and sensitivity.

Keep calm and spread peace through our body and our community.

Happy Friday!
..So we have a patient who was having alot of pain for several years. But when she came in she would be in a hurry to leave. When asked why, she said he had to go grocery shopping.

Sometimes we all are so caught up in our routines that our health takes 7th or ...100th place. Doing everything else for everybody else some how took over long ago.

It's our responsibility as healers to remind our patients to reserve time for themselves.

But we must also practice reserving time for ourselves first. Practice before we preach.

By knowing and feeling the good effects for ourselves first, we then can teach our patients strategies to heal.

Have a wonderful restful weekend!

Had a patient walk in slumping, feeling down. He said he will never improve and that his mom said he will always be in pain. He said his mom had pain all her life so she said/ he agreed he will be the same way.

I immediately stopped him:
- you're not your mom!
- bring your mom in to see me!!!
- don't perpetuate negativity, the brain 🧠 produces bad neurochemicals when you're negative
- positive thinking produces healthy chemicals!
- I ramped up his exercises to 60 reps with weights--- increasing his adrenaline level, increase breathing and sweating, activating the sympathetic system
- many times I want patients to relax and activate the parasympathetic system, but for him, the opposite. He needs energy and alertness, and focus on his own active healing!

He walked out feeling much better, standing and walking taller. It'll take time but that's how you guide your patients to heal.

Incontinence pads. Yes at first if you need them, wear them, so you have freedom to go out. But immediately seek help from a pelvic health expert to get better. These are not hard to fix if done right!
