Well, Dad - turns out happiness and grief can coexist. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years already. I miss you so much.

Brooklyn is amazing, as you already know. You sent her to us, after all. I like to think that you met her in heaven and knew she would be the perfect addition to our family.

Bo and Ev still have moments where they miss you like crazy, as do I. We all have a good cry about it. But more often than not, we are enjoying happy memories of you these days. Mostly centered around jelly beans, boats and home projects.

And of course mom just did Alaska again. She didn’t want to do it without you, but I’m so glad she had her bestie there to make it a memorable trip full of love and fun. I know she needed it, even if she found herself missing you at times.

The most full-circle moment of all time ever. 5 years ago, I had 2 kids under 2, I was in the depths of postpartum anxiety and depression…I needed a LIFE RAFT.

I had completed only one other program, but the promotions for this new 21-day commitment, using those little colored container thingies kept coming up and i decided this would be the first group I ran as a coach. I committed to a fitness and nutrition program called 21 Day Fix with a trainer named

For the first time, I saw that it didn’t require 2 hours at the gym and giving up on all my favorite things to get results. Autumn’s nutrition program showed me proper portions, got me out of the restrict/binge cycle, showed me exactly how much I was supposed to eat each day and took all the guesswork out.

And although I was skeptical about the 30 minute workout situation ever being enough, I was getting my ASS HANDED TO ME every day with these workouts that I could do during nap time or even with my kids crawling all over me.

The results spoke for themselves, I lost 27lbs in two rounds of her program…but it was more than that. I started recognizing myself again, I started coming back to life, I started seeing that there was light at the end of the tunnel after giving birth to two babies in 18 months.

I was met with energy and inspiration every day in my workout from my on-screen trainer, Autumn, and while she was just a trainer on the screen back then, she got me through some of my hardest days. I have since spent one-on-one time with her many times over the years and have learned what a hardworking individual and an inspiration she truly is.
