Breslin Lab Our laboratory investigates the role of the microcirculation and lymphatic system in health and disease. Our work is funded by grants from the U.S.

We are currently located at the Morsani College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. National Institutes of Health. We have also received grants in the past from the American Heart Association, the Louisiana Board of Regents, and the ABMRF/Foundation for Alcohol Research.

We have a new publication related to our work on hemorrhagic shock and microvascular permeability. In this study, we found that administration of apolipoprotein M in resuscitative fluids could reduce the level of microvascular leakage in a combined alcohol intoxication and hemorrhagic shock model.

Dr. Stanley G. Rockson is the Allan and Tina Neill Professor of Lymphatic Research and Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, a LE&RN Comprehensive Center of Excellence. He completed his internship, residency, and fellowship training at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rockson has been involved in numerous clinical trials researching various aspects of lymphatic disease and is the Editor-in-Chief of Lymphatic Research and Biology, the official journal of LE&RN. Dr. Rockson is a co-founder of LE&RN, works closely with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to advance the agenda for lymphatic research, and has authored more than 250 publications devoted to various aspects of lymphatic biology and disease, vascular biology, and cardiovascular medicine.
