We have all done it, we get a little lazy and we decide not to go to Yoga Class. But a few hours later, you regret it. You can never beat the refreshing peaceful feeling at the end of your class. So if you’re thinking about not going, quickly talk yourself into going, just remember how great it feels afterwards.

If you are feeling unsure, doubtful, hesitant, or timid, you are lacking self-assurance. Don’t judge yourself for it. We all go through periods of uncertainty. Depending on what is happening in our lives such as new challenges or new goals. etc.. It is a good time to activate the Solar Plex chakra located in the abdominal area. This sequence helps activate your Solar Plex Chakra (confidence) while the words in the poem affirm your greatness! Preferably try the sequence outdoors.

Yoga philosophy ahimsa teaches us to let go. Letting go of that which causes you pain, letting go of expectations, letting go of our identity, letting go of our grown kids; we will always be challenged with this philosophy. The sooner we learn to let go, the sooner we can find our happiness. What are you struggling to let go of these days?

When I was nine years old, I remember a teacher vividly saying, if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. Well, being the daughter of Cuban immigrant parents who watched them take any job they could to make ends meet, I bought into this right away! As a little girl, my favorite thing to do was dance and move my body, and my favorite thing to play was a teacher. So it makes sense that today I am a Yoga Teacher, global retreat leader and life coach. I am passionate about what I do. I am blessed to have amazing clients, to lead retreats in Mexico, Costa rica, Greece, and Japan. I wake up every day looking forward to changing peoples lives! Are you doing what you love? Are you passionate every day? If not, what is stopping you? Need help and guidance? I am happy to help- Send me an Instagram message. .

Stress is a normal part of life. No matter how much we avoid it, things happen and we find ourselves stressed. Try this simple technique each morning, but especially if you wake up stressed. Offer positivity for yourself but also wish someone you love a happy day and wish someone who is maybe a source of your stress a happy day too.

Giving and doing things for others brings us joy. Take a moment to think of something you can do for someone today. I look forward to offering classes at my home studio again. It’s my giving space. See you there soon!

This year I had the privilege to attend two of Bad Bunny‘s concerts, One in his homeland of Puerto Rico and another in the beautiful city of Mexico City. While it was an amazing experience what made it even better was that both times I experienced the concerts with my daughter whom I will forever be grateful for. It was beautiful to sing and dance with my daughter while also witnessing the power of love and music. At a time where there is so much division and controversy bad Bunny brought hundreds of thousands of people together. While I watched the Grammys recently, I was touched to see his humbleness, gratitude and his genuine love for all people. I realized how many of his attributes resemble that of a Yogi. Thank you Bad Bunny for leading the way in so many ways! Wishing him much continued success from a proud Latin Yogi.

When my daughter and I decided to go to Mexico for the holidays this year, we were nervous that we would miss all our old traditions, family, and friends, But it was the best experience we’ve had! We shared intimate conversations, danced and sang, explored new towns and enjoyed new flavorful foods- We created new traditions! So this year don’t be afraid to let go of what you’ve known forever and swap it for something new.

Thanksgiving is over and already you are panicking. Holiday decorations, travel, family, gifts, meal preparations - there is so much to do. Here are a few tips to keep you grounded during the holidays.

1. Do not miss your yoga practice. This one simple thing will keep you positive and calm through the season.

2. Let go of perfection. So what if your decorations are not just right or you burnt the cookies. Remember the important thing about the holidays is the time you spend with others and the memories you create.

3. Take notice - when you feel stressed or agitated, notice it and stop for 5 minutes. Take deep breathes or walk outside for some fresh air. Changing perspective, changes your emotions.

4. Practice gratitude - Gratitude is not just at Thanks giving but everyday. Noticing what is good in the moment will keep you feeling light and happy.
