Today, as the sun reaches its peak, we celebrate the Summer Solstice—a time of light, abundance, and inner expansion. This longest day of the year invites us to pause, soak in the warmth, and reconnect with the rhythms of nature.

In many healing traditions, this is a time for renewal, clarity, and deep nourishment—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Just as nature is in full bloom, we too can align with this energy to support our own vitality and balance.

✨ Reflections on the 45th Alexander Technique Retreat in Malibu ✨

What an incredible experience it was to teach at the 45th Alexander Technique Retreat in Malibu! Despite the fires coming so close, the serenity and beauty of the Serra Retreat Center held steadfast, radiating its remarkable sense of calm and peace.

Each morning, I had the joy of teaching Breath-Centered Yoga, weaving in the principles of the Alexander Technique to explore how we can do less throughout asana practice. The concept of "I Have Time" resonated deeply with this group of curious and thoughtful individuals who wholeheartedly embraced the Work. Their openness and engagement were truly inspiring.

And what a way to end the year! New Year’s Eve brought together incredible talent for our performance night—a beautiful gift of creativity and inspiration that unfolded so naturally, leaving us all moved and connected.

Thank you to everyone who made this retreat so memorable. I’m leaving feeling refreshed, inspired, and so grateful for this amazing community. 💛

As we welcome this fresh chapter, let's fill it with love, health, and an ageless lifestyle! A new year is always a great time to reset—to let go of what no longer serves us and embrace goals that bring us joy and fulfillment. 🌱

This year, I’m focusing on Brain Health, one of the biggest health challenges of our time. Did you know that 1 in 3 people—especially women—will develop Alzheimer’s? This is personal for me, and I’m deeply committed to helping others make lifestyle changes to prevent and even reverse cognitive decline. If you’re in your 40s, now is the time to take action!

Through Breath-Centered Yoga, an Ayurvedic and Functional approach to diet and lifestyle, and the Alexander Technique, we can cultivate balance, poise, and vibrant health—tools that empower us to make meaningful, lasting changes. Winter Solstice: A Time for Reflection

As the longest night of the year blankets us, the Winter Solstice invites us to embrace the quiet and turn inward. This is a sacred pause, a moment to honor our journey through the darkness—not just of the season but within ourselves.

In the stillness, we find the true meaning of yoga: the union of body, breath, emotions, and mind. By reconnecting to this harmony, we can refocus on what matters most. We can gently create new habits, soften the hardened edges of our being, and awaken a love that comes from a place of deep knowing.

Let this Solstice be a reminder to embrace your journey, just as it is, with compassion and courage. Take time today to reflect on your path—where you've been, where you are, and where your heart calls you to go.

🌱 Creating Wellness for a Lifetime 🌱

Just like the wheels of a bike or a car, our Wellness Wheel needs to stay balanced for us to move smoothly through life. Wellness is not a quick fix—it’s a lifelong process that’s unique to each of us and needs to evolve over time.

Each section of this Wellness Wheel reminds us of the areas we can focus on to support our body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Making wellness a positive habit or an ongoing goal pays off as we age. The earlier we establish healthy routines, the better equipped we’ll be for the years to come.

As life changes, our priorities and wellness needs shift, too. Maybe you focus more on physical health in your younger years and then add more focus to emotional, spiritual, or social wellness as you grow. The key is consistency and self-care in every area.

I had my first Death Cafe at the Jan Kaminis Platt Library last Thursday. I am so grateful that Alissa Hopkins came and supported me. She is an End-of-Life Doula with Before I Go, also in Tampa. We had a great discussion about death and dying and ways to move this conversation forward.

I will be having another one on Nov. 21st at 6:30 pm. Hopefully, more people will attend! If you know people in the Tampa area, please help spread the word.

Live the Life You Love...

Life is like a beautiful Lotus Flower. The stalk of the lotus emerges from the dark murky water and grows up above the darkness, forming a delicate bud. With time, the bud unfolds, and a perfect flower is presented for all to enjoy. We are that perfect flower, that is our true nature. But sometimes we get caught in the darkness, the unknown, the fear and we allow ourselves to forget our true beauty. For me, what these three life-affirming disciplines teach is how to come back to the present moment. How to be in the Now. They teach practical ‘tools’ that once you learn them, you can apply them to your daily life. And if you get off the path, then you have learned how to stop, look and listen from within so you can get back to the way you want to live.

My Hands-On Retreats are a 5-day immersion into these three disciplines. Giving you practical ways to work with food, spices, aromas, posture, breath and how to reduce the stress that accumulates over time. You leave feeling that you now have ways to work on yourself every day!
